We like to patronize locally-owned restaurants, so sought out this little gem and have been twice in the last month. We like to sit at the bar for a cocktail and dinner. The bartender is very personable and service is spot-on. The burrata with proscuitto, eggplant rollatini, pasta with meatballs, pasta fagioli...all delicious, and generous portions. Nice pours on wine, too. The owner is also a very nice woman who we enjoy having a quick chat with.

Met some friends here for dinner while in town. This is one of my all time favorite places for pizza and garlic rolls. Living in NC, itâs not too often I get to eat here, but when I do, I am never disappointed. The service was fantastic-friendly, efficient, fast. The pizza was hot, crisp, and delicious. The garlic rolls will send you into another world-they are melt I. Your mouth good!! If you ever get a chance to eat at John the Baker-it is well worth your time. The food is wonderful and the price is just right!!Thanks, John, for a great meal!!

Small Italian restaurant with delicious food. For those like my wife who are looking for Gluten-free options they have pasta and pizza choices. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We had pasta, and the portion sizes were more than enough. We would definitely return if we lived in the area. We saw that two tables brought their own wine, which is terrific for those wanting to enjoy a few drinks with dinner.

We went at lunchtime for an early dinner. The food was awesome, as I was able to have a keto lunch pretty much. The only problem we had was that they tried to seat us in a booth that had a torn up seat on one side of the booth with stuffing coming out of it. Seriously? The young lady looked at us as if we were crazy because we would not sit there! The table should have been closed and remain closed until the seat is repaired.1TravelingWoman, we're sorry to hear about your dining experience on your recent visit. The food is fine-not exciting, but good for a chain. There are better choices for the same price. And, how do they decide who gets a tablecloth and who doesn't? Sloppy service.

Nice people, slow service. Very large portions. Reservations are strongly suggested.A little pricey. Actually the portions were the largest I've seen. Unfortunetely it isn't as good when you heat it up the next day. I could go for much smaller portions and no leftovers.

We went to La Famiglia for dinner with friends. The decor is casual and the service was attentive and friendly. We were served garlic rolls to start. They were full of garlic and really good.I had the Seafood Combination, which I liked a lot. It was over linguini with lots of mussels, clams, shrimp, etc. in a marinara sauce. I had the calamari appetizer. It was a little bland. My wife had the linguini with white clam sauce. She reported it as quite good. The presentation was quite attractive with a ring of clams surrounding the linguini. Our friends had shrimp scampi with a garlic lemon and white wine sauce over linguini. It was reported as very good. Our other guest had chicken parmigiana, which he liked very much. The best part of the meal was the Chocolate Volcano dessert. It was a song chocolate cake filled with chocolate sauce and vanilla gelato, again with chocolate sauce. It was rich, flavorful, and delicious. This is a good neighborhood restaurant with reasonable prices.I would go back.
