My husband and I boated in to Parry Sound for the weekend and made a reservation here for dinner one evening. We shared a bottle of the house red, which was better than we expected. I ordered the Beet Salad to share with hubby and we both thoroughly enjoyed it, although it needed a touch of salt in our opinion. For our entree's I ordered the gnocchi with a rich gorgonzola sauce and walnuts. The dish was amazing, however, the walnuts overtook the dish as there were WAY too many for me to eat. I left my plate empty of gnocchi but still have full of walnuts! My husband ordered the seafood pesto pasta and was really inpressed by the flavour, texture, and variety of seafood. This is a restaurant we would definitely recommend and would go back to in the future. Hopefully our suggestions will be noted.Thank you very much for your review, we appreciate your feedback. Ordered Calzone and was terrible. The sauce had no taste and the ingredients were very poor and the cheese was very lumpy inside. Thank you so much for your feedback. Typical for this chain of restaurants. There was a good choice of beers/lager on tap and plenty of food to choose from but the portion size is huge compared to UK.We both opted for pasta dishes and neither of us were able to finish them. I would suggest skipping a starter and going straight to main course if you aren't use to large portions.Hi, Lyndsay! We are glad to see that you enjoyed your visit! I vacation in Parry Sound each summer and have seen the decline in this restaurant. We had a friendly waitress but she was the only person working the dining room at dinner hour so our service was very slow. I went with a group of 3 small families (including my own) which was 11 of us in total. We placed our orders all at the same time but on 3 separate bills and then she took the orders to the kitchen. Our meals all came at completely separate times. The ppl we were with received their salads and entrees before we even got any of our food (garlic sticks, salad, pizza, kids meals). Our children who are the youngest of the group were the last to receive their food which is hard for toddlers to wait on. The families we were with started offering them their garlic sticks. Toddlers meals should come out before others. The other children received their meals quickly and they were preteens. The food itself was typical of any Pizza Hut. They just didn't have enough waitstaff working and had no idea how to bring the food out for a large group or young children. Unfortunately people were waiting around for us to finish since their whole order was brought out before any of ours. Last year was horrible service (very slow) but we went back again this year hoping it had improved. I doubt we will return next year which is unfortunate because it has been tradition to do the kids eat free Tuesday while on vacation since I was a kid.
