Have been to Francesca many times for lunch and dinner. This time was a disappointment. Ordered 3 appetizers and 2 mains to share. The gluten free calamari and the garlic spinach were very good. The mussels had a good sauce but were not fresh and some stank. The roast chicken was good but the gluten free rigatoni verdue was bland and tasteless.
Loved the energy in this spot! This is one of those places that is a must stop for people who love food, especially Italian food. What a gastronomic delight! In this Ristorante Italiano you can find what you like to eat: meat, cheese, small plate ,more substantial food, fish, pizza, tapas style, pasta meals, healthy choices, calzones, breads, gelato, sure, I am missing something. Eating here is as entertaining as the food is delicious. It's definitely not cheap, mind you. But it's as much about the atmosphere, smiling friendly staff, the informal nature and the fantastic food.

Mid Villa Pizza, in Palos Heights, IL, is the area's leading restaurant serving Palos Heights and surrounding areas since 1972. We offer pizza, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, fish and chips, fresh salads and more. 80% of our menu is homemade! We only deliver
Most pizza places skimp on the toppings, but not Mid-Villa. Prices are comparable to other pizza places, but the volume of cheese, sausage, pepperoni etc. is much better. Many other Italian dishes are offered, but pizza is the star. Small and friendly neighborhood bar draws families and friends with good food, prices and great pizza.

It's about time one of the major Chicago Deep Dish Pizza players came back to the Palos Heights area. With having lost Gino's East from Oak Lawn and Orland Park in recent years, along with a Lou Malnati's carryout location in Tinley Park on Harlem Ave, there haven't been any good deep dish pizzas available in this area, until now. Lou Malnati's just recently opened in Palos Heights and it is a welcome addition to the area! I have been craving real Chicago deep dish pizza for a while, but I refuse to drive downtown or to the north and western suburbs for it. Apparently, Gino's East and other chains didn't think we appreciate and love deep dish pizza in the south suburbs. On the night I ordered, I called in for a carryout medium deep dish sausage and pepperoni pizza, cooked a little longer to be crisper. I was told it would take about 35 minutes to prepare the pizza. It was ready on time and even though there was a huge line of people waiting for orders, I was greeted quickly at the counter and was given my total right away. After paying, I maybe waited 2-3 minutes for my pizza to be brought up to the counter. Once I got home and tried it, I was in heaven! The butter crust was crispy as I like it, and everything else was amazing! Honestly, this is one of the best pizzas available in Palos Heights! Shop local and try it if you haven't! They offer carryout or delivery service, plus their menu does offer more than just pizza. I can't express how happy I am that pizza like this is once again available in the south suburbs. Hopefully, once they get established, they will offer coupons and other deals. Call them, order and welcome them to Palos Heights! You will not regret it!

Saw this place on Chicago's Best on television. We had to try it. Ordered a thin crust cheese and sausage pizza. It was good but they were a little light on the sausage? Kind of disappointed because on the television they showed them building a pizza and putting on a lot of sausage? Maybe that was for television? Had to wait about 25 minutes for a table and than a additional 45 minutes for our pizza. The crust was fine but not real crispy actually kind of soft. On the other hand the wait staff was very good and extremely busy. I may want to give this place another try when they are not so busy. I think that by being busy the quality seemed to slip away from them. They have 3 large screen televisions for viewing. There seems to be enough parking between the lot and street. Sorry, just wish I could have wrote a better review for you.

Mama Vesuvio's East is located in Palos Heights. We are a dining, small banquet, bar/lounge, and outdoor patio Italian restaurant on Chicago's southside that's been around for over 30 years.
Like the title says we were here last night to see the Vito Zatto show. The show was good but is definitley for an older audience as the references are older. Only mention the show so you have an idea of the crowd and room we were in for the review. Im guessing because of the large crowd coming the waitress only would give us limited menus. Was rather odd. The food was average. Not amazing but by no stretch bad. I had the baked penne with meatballs. Past was good, meat balls looked great but, were very dry. Very disappointing. The same was true with my wife's pasta. Our group had the fried vegetable platter (which includes garlic bread, not a veggie) and everyone loved the platter. Our group also ordered a pizza which i presume was good as there was very little left. We also wound up having a slice of cheese cake which was served with whipped cream. Good but just a regular cheese cake. I attributed this to the show but service got rather slow. For about the last hour to hour and a half we never saw our server. She was nice and offered us suggestions with food but we never saw her (even in the room) until it was over. Overall it was a good experience. I would return but ordering something else and on a night with no show. Do not let my review scare you away as so many people there talked about how often they visit. The owner who kept popping into thw show seemed very nice.

Visiting my son at the nearby college, not surprisingly, he wanted to go out for pizza. We found Jullianniâs and weâre not disappointed. They prepare stuffed, pan, thin and flatbread pizzas with the favorites listed. You can modify your selection and there is a gluten free option available as well. Jullianniâs is quite honest about the preparation time but Iâm sure we received our order well before the time limit. It is a family restaurant atmosphere with a diverse clientele. We were very pleased with our server and will definitely return on future visits. Well done!

We were a party of four who made a 5:30 pm reservation on a Saturday night in order to get in. Not surprisingly the place was packed when we arrived. The complimentary valet parked the car and we checked in with the hostess. After 20 minutes and a drink at the bar, we were seated and almost immediately greeted by our server, Beth. We had linguini with clams, tortellini with roasted vegetables, gnocchi, and angel hair with a bolognese sauce. All were very good, generous portions and reasonably priced. The service was top shelf and the restaurant was filled with regulars which was no surprise given the food and the service.
