We had lunch in this pizzeria / restaurant. Negative point : the waitresses did not tell us spontaneously that there was a menu of the day (menu a prezzo fisso), as they wanted us - foreigners - to eat more expensive dishes. Not very honest !!! In the end, we had the menu of the day, which was fair and rather cheap. Especially the pasta was more than OK. The children ate pizza, which also was of good quality. Not friendly for foreigners !

We were in August in Palmanova and many restaurant were closed so we were happy to find something open â so that was the reason to chose it. The restaurant has garden and indoor seating which is air-conditioned (it proved to be essential in August in Palmanova). The service was quick, professional and good â with English speaking staff. The food arrived pretty quickly and was very good. Restaurant prices are very reasonable and we saw a lot of local people eating here. Restaurant is easy to find â it is located in one of the side streets leading to the main square. All in all I would return here and would gladly recommend it.

I like this restaurant: cozy atmosphere, nice staff, good food with plenty of options for vegetarians. You can also drink some very good wines from the region, unfortunately for a price.

We were pleased that we found this little gem, almost by accident. It is well supported by locals, particularly at lunch time, and features traditional home cooked meals. Check out the specials of the day which were generous and great value for money.

The location is very particular: stone and wood everywhere. The menu is so rich of all the traditional dishes, parfumes ,herbs and cooking history. Gnocchi of polenta, pumpkins gnocchi, tagliolini with marcundele-pork sauce made of kidney, lungs, heart, and throught. Cooked salami with brovada -a kind of turnip marinated in vinigar. Braised sour salami and pork gristle. Home made dessert: tiramisu', strudel, pannacotta. Superb wine, good service, good bill.

Nereo Ballestriero is a masterchef, creative, genious, kind and nice chef. The chef whose aim is to maximise the quality of the local product, seeking excellence in everything he does. When you have a business open from dawn to set (7am to 23:30h) you need a passion for the exquisite cuisine. He surprised us in every dish from beginning to end with fresh, light and delicious combination of anchovies, pasta, carpaccio, Barney and trufa, octopus, vegetables, everything. Despite the number of dishes, everything seemed so well orchestrated that we enjoyed every bite. Torinese also won Italian Gambito Rosso Award in 2010 and 2014, so we can guarantee they know how to make the best illy espresso and other coffee preparations. It was definitely a delight to all senses and we're sure we will come back. Palmanova is also a nice town near Trieste and Udine.

Ristorante Pizzeria che utilizza ingredienti naturali, artigianali, locali e prettamente stagionali. In pizzeria lavoriamo con impasti a lunga maturazione (fino a 72 ore) e farine semintegrali. In edizione limitata è possibile degustare il nostro impasto
This is a bright and comfortable restaurant. I ordered the Frico, since I'm a big fan, and I wasn't disappointed! This was the best Frico I've ever had, light and savory. It was served as an appetizer with a few thin slices of pear and a Montasio cheese sauce (Montasio is the local cheese). I would go back to Palmanova just to eat there!Thank you so much docdaura!!We really hope to see you again here at Il Melograno :) Goodbye!

I visited recently with my family, the staff is really friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing the food -as I'm vegetarian, the serving lady proposed a few out of menu alternatives. Really reasonable prices considered the food quality.
