15 different Vermentinos (the Sardinian white wine) by the glass, most of them for only â¬5. A similar amount of locals reds and a good selection of rosé and bubbles. Included in the price is free 'stuzzichini': pecorino cheese, salame, slow-roasted potatoes, pane carasau, etc. All the wines we tried were at least good, some even excellent. Friendly service, albeit a bit slow sometimes. It is also a lounge bar, but as a wine bar it is better than most.

After several dinners in Palau we felt like "just a small Pizza tonight" and found this small home delivery/ take-away location. It only has 3 small tables and little atmosphere, yet the Pizza is awesome. Any Pizza lives on the quality of its ingredients - I tried the Matizza Pizza and the rocket salad was perfect, the tomatoes fresh and full of Aroma, the Pecorino was well- balanced as well and the dought thing and crispy and full of flavour. We also had a Prosciutto Pizza which was good as well. Not a place for a romantic dinner but an awesome location for a quick and excellent Pizza. Definitely recommended.

Ristorante - pizzeria sul porto con una terrazza esterna. Proponiamo ogni settimana una proposta di piatto di pesce nuovi.
If you like seafood and prefer true taste over a super elegant restaurant Il Kalamaro is the place to be. Went there for lunch and immediately liked the colorful decoration. We ordered 5 different mains and some starters and they all were absolutely fantastic. Try the octopus grilled or fried to perfection or seafood pasta. Yummy! Service was excellent, our food came together and we didnât wait very long. One of the best restaurants we found in Sardiniaâs North.

Restaurant of meat and fish immersed in the Gallura countryside tasting of typical dishes and seafood specialties
Good location for exploring local beaches. Porto Pollo is truly a windsurfing Mecca!Easy short drive to Palau and the gateway to La Maddalena archipelago. Restaurant serves generous authentic fayre and will serve you something other than the set menu if requested the day before. Breakfast is typically simple. Room was clean, very small and basic but ok for our two night stay. Very hospitable host and staff.

What a find - OK, so recommended by Nautilus Diving, also wonderful! - but we had walked a long way around Palau and this was a superb answer to self-catering evenings! Warm and friendly, clean and great range of pasta dishes, very considerate to my request for - please - a smaller portion as dangers of weight gain! A last recommendation - go early, or you may not get in, as every night was busy - what an atmosphere!! Go there!grazie

Me and my wife have been three days, two nights in Palau, Sardinia. We adore the Sardinian food and definitively wanted to enjoy the best of the isle cousine. After checking on the Tripadvisor, for the first dinner we chose to go to Cucumiao and we totally believe we couldn't do a better choice. The place is traditional and warmly welcoming, the personnel is well trained and professional and makes you feel well. But the mesmerizing thing is the quality of the food that leaves you breathless. They do a great work in selecting the best ingredients from the isle and cook them so wonderfully that any dish is an explosion of taste.Home made pastas are incredible. Fish and meat juicy and superlative.Try sardinian cheeses or salami, they will surprise you too.We loved so much our first dinner that we had to return for the second dinner, the day after.Let me tell you this: I shall return to Palau ONLY to go to Cucumiao again. They say that having returning customers is the best compliment for any business: well, this is my most spontaneous compliment!Should I find a suggestion for the owner to further improve the place, I'd only say that the big dining hall is a little noisy.Ciao Thanks for suggestion ;) We are always busy end we are in the SUMMER TIME GRAZIE

'Il Paguro' restaurant with an excellent cuisine based on genuine Sardinian products and fine table service is a refined but informal sea facing restaurant on a terrace with a great selection of fresh shellfish (from a fish tank).
my husband and I had a wonderful lunch at Il Paguro restaurant 4 kilometers from Palau in the North of Sardinia. Part of the exquisite Capo dâOrso hotel scenery facing the Madalena archipelago, the open air restaurant features splendid views over the hotel private marina framed by fragrant frangipani and a small beach. We ordered a Linguini with locally made bottarga ( fish roe) and small tomatoes, and an extraordinary oven baked fresh Dorado with grilled vegetable. If you decide to go order as well the local Sardinian beer ( Ichnusa) or if you like wine a Vermentino di Gallura will refresh your mood. For desert one of the best tiramisu served on a cold glass and an Italian version of a lemon tarte ( the French would not define it as so) filled with sun kissed fruits. he photos below will speak for themselves Service under tbe command of Gianni a maitre âD like you donât find anymore in these days . Staff impeccably dressed with great tans . Just park your boat for free at the Marina and discover the extraordinary cakes pasticciera Paula will prepare for a lucky birthday guest.

We went there for dinner after a boat trip! We had Spaghetti Carbonara and Lasagna. The Food have been really good and we enjoyed it a lot! The owner was really welcoming and had a good English! Just a little minus for the cleanliness of the lady toilet. But the food itself was great value for money!!

Went here on our first week with friends, we all had decent food and wine and a good time, so much so that we, as a couple, decided to return on our second week. The place was fairly empty, more staff than guests. We eventually, after sitting for quite a while, had 3 members of staff turn up to take our order..we told them weâd like a drink first while perusing the menu, we also chose our wine..our drinks and the wine turned up, and the young waiter insisted on opening our wine despite the fact we told him we werenât ready for it, he also asked us for our food order, again we told him we werenât ready and would like to have our pre-dinner drinks. The restaurant by this time was filling up slowly and I noticed a couple who came in after us had their drinks, wine and food all brought together within 10 minutes of arriving..McDonalds sprang to mind!!Eventually we had chosen our food and tried to attract a member of staff..we were ignored by everyone of them..a senior waiter then sent the same young waiter to our table, unfortunately for him I saw him making a derogatory comment and facial expression towards us and when he came to the table he had such a bad attitude towards us, we asked him to bring the bill, we were not prepared to sit there and watch members of staff gesticulating towards us..who know what extras might have gone into our food.. unfortunately the opened bottle of wine was tipped into the ice bucket and we paid our bill and left.I explained to the senior waiter why and got a shrug for my commentsWorst ever service in Italy.
