Finally found the opportunity to get a gyro at Mario's. It was very tasty. They serve with either a side salad or chips. They are so friendly here and always make you feel like you are their favorite customer.

Excited that delivery is available. Even though I gave explicit delivery instructions, though, driver called me from his car at the end of the driveway and asked me to come get my delivery. He was friendly, though.First time ordering their chicken salad. It was very wet, which doesn't bode well in a grinder roll. It was also bland. Made for a really messy, tasteless dinner. Sad. I know they can do better. We are so sorry to hear about your negative experiences with both the delivery service and your meal, Lynda_Tish. Our customers mean a lot to us and we'd like to make things better. Please send your contact information to [email protected] (phone & email) and we will have an owner reach out to you. We would hate to lose a customer of ours. We look forward to speaking with you.

It's been about 2 yrs since our previous visit (and review) and once again we found ourselves in need of a tasty dinner before facing Hartford's traffic. And once again Julio's came through for us. The Arugula salad, Bruschetta app, and Pizzas Bianca al Prosciutto and Quattro Stagioni were delicious as before. But this time we also tried a pair of other dishes - the Veal Milanese which was quite good (and enormous) and the Sambuca Mussels which were some of the best we've ever had. Great quality PEI mussels in a sambuca, shallot, and cherry pepper cream sauce. We were again quite pleased with the atmosphere and service - definitely a cut above the average pizza joint. Packed on a Friday night we were made to feel welcome and even though the joint was jumpin' our server was friendly, prompt, and attentive.
We were hoping for a family restaurant like the one that Rolando replaced, it now mainly a bar. Very disorganized, not many tables for dinner. Waited length of time for our drinks, the bartender was to busy talking to the only two people at the bar. Wouldn't go back

Excellent local pizza. Its a not too thin, not too thick crust. Some have likened it to Greek style. They do have a full menu of Italian favorites including spaghetti & meatballs, etc. Their grinders are tasty, especially the meatball. Place is nothing fancy, just great quality, family owned, friendly place which is very popular on Friday nights.

Good for fans of BIG sandwiches. Nice dessert selections as well. Try the steak and cheese or the cold cuts of your favor. When you get the works, the vegetables are diced and not sliced. That turns some people off. You don't have to have it that way though. Derek B.,Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review. We are so thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your grinder. You are correct that our Classic Mix of diced, marinated veggies is optional but we think it lends a delicious taste to our grinders. We are glad you tried it that way. We are also glad that you saved room for dessert. There are so many delicious things to choose from on the menu. We appreciate your business and we look forward to serving you again, soon. What can I say, always delicious amazingly inexpensive Italian meals. The owner, Cosmina, is there making sure dinners are consistently good. Portions are large.A nice salad is included. The bread is great. The wine list is very limited, but the house wines are drinkable. There is no bar. Service is attentive This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant but is also a destination restaurant because of the food, the friendliness and great value

Had the French onion soup and it was terrific, best ever! Also the chicken Parma was as good as always, husband had blackened shrimp with broccoli rabe, which was an appetizer but owner made it into a meal! It was terrific! Salad was very fresh! Wonderful staff, our waitress was a doll as was the mount man that bussed!
