Beautiful old building, the inside is welcoming and offered several dinning areas. The service is knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Now for the food, it is good but not exceptional. Itâs solid Italian fare but nothing more. Mamma Teresa is old school and has been around forever. It is a favourite of the politicians and press as you will see all the autographed pictures in the lobby. It is a good place for a date but on the pricey side.

This place has been serving delicious pizza for over what? 35-40 years? This attests to the consistency of their quality of food and service. Staff and patrons have been loyal to this place for good reason. If you are looking for honest to goodness great traditional pizza, this is the place!

At Cucina Da Vito the difference begins in Italy and ends at your table. From scratch kitchen, home made pastas, sauces and service that is meant to exceed expectations.
We went to this restaurant last year and were impressed with both the food and service. It is a very nice place and we were looking forward to a return visit. While the restaurant was contacted around the noon hour, during their open hours, the call went directly to an answering option with the message requesting to leave information for a reservation. As I was expecting a return call with a confirmation the same day, I was disappointed it never came. The following morning, which was approx. 24 hours later, I received a message asking to call the restaurant. The call was returned within the half-hour and only to get another recording about making a reservation. Again, no return call. When a business, particularly a restaurant during their open hours, cannot have someone answer the phone and/or return a call within a short period of time it creates a very bad impression. There are no excuses for not attending to calls within a short time frame, at a minimum on the same day. The fact that the reservation was not for the following day has no relevance. We decided to dine elsewhere and we doubt we would return. The restaurant may want to do a better job at handling phone calls or risk losing other customers.Hello db1127,We would like to thank you for taking your time and writing this review. We are truly sorry that you did not feel your calls were attended to in a timely manor. It is the long weekend and we are experiencing a higher than usual amount of reservations as per the longer call back time. In the future you can use other vehicles, our face book page is a great tool to make reservations. Again we do apologize for this inconvenience and are continuously working to ensure that we return all of our calls in a timely manor.

I wouldnât recommend this restaurant for anyone that is vegan. There are vegetarian options such as arancini (eggs), bruschetta, salads and one pasta dish, pasta primavera, that the server recommended to me, but that I do not recommend. The sauce is very watery, little taste and over compensated with garlic. I barely touched it. My husband tried it too and agreed it wasnât good.Meat eaters in the group liked theirs dishes. Server was arrogant, made us feel uncomfortable. Made sarcastic comments that made us feel uncomfortable. The bread was delicious, outside crisp, inside moist and soft.Desert menu very focused on chocolate (tiramisu, cheese cake, tartuffo, etc). I personally donât like chocolate and only had creme brûlée (eggs), lemon granité (cold) and an almond pastry as choices. I left hungry and unsatisfied. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but the options are limited for vegan /vegetarian people. On a positive note, the ambiance and decorations are nice.

This was a gift certificate we had from a family member, the restaurant is in a small strip mall hidden a bit but definitely looks are deceiving. When you come in it's a very warm inviting place no noise that you need to talk over. We started with the warm bread and butter which was fantastic with different breads. Then we shared the pears & prosciutto which again we're just the perfect size, then we had the chicken dish and the steak dish and the tiramisu for dessert. We will definitely come back again

I hadn't been to Giovanni's for several years. I gave it a good but not great review back in 2013. Last night we celebrated my wife's birthday there and had an outstanding meal. Service is professional and fast. The decor is warm and attractive, and although the restaurant was busy on a Monday evening, you can actually have a conversation. All of our entrees were perfect; while they are a bit on the pricey side, I don't mind paying a bit more for good food. We also appreciated the free valet parking.

Had a lovely lunch with a good friend. We Both had the smoked salmon salad with fresh greens from Mariposa farms. Surprisingly exceptional, with red onion, capers, olives, crumbled feta, a few homemade crostini and a lovely light lemon vinaigrette. Service nice and relaxed. Always a pleasure to come here.

We came here for lunch on a Tuesday. The place was packed. We were lucky to have 2 seats at the counter. I had the shrimp spaghetti which was fresh and flavourful. The other pasta dishes and pizzas looked great as well. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. Looking forward to returning to try other dishes.
