We found this place after a bit of searching and booked dinner on Saturday night. Was impressed when the chef asked about allergies and made a note about my dairy intolerance. Restaurant was very quiet and we could only have menu del do a as 24 hours notice is required for a la carte. We weren't quite sure what we were going to get because of the language barrier but it all turned out to be delicious-shrimp, tomato soup and trout with fried potatoes and salad-everything cooked on the spot by our host who was most gracious. Nice group at the bar who were very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised when the bill came which was much less than we had paid other places for inferior food. Would definitely recommend-Just make sure to book in advance.
The best location in the city center a quiet place with good food, coffee, good music in a classic atmosphere, delicious food, Ecuadorian gastronomy and world cuisine, coffee in the area an exclusive service and the best prices. Free WiFi area
Absolutely amazing restaurant for some authentic Ecuadorian food, accompanied by music too! Really friendly owner, Ivan Viscaino, and a truly stunning rural location. Great atmosphere!

Medium pizza for $7-ish was delicious with lots of toppings. Lasagna ($5.70) was also large and tasty with lots of cheese!Good value for money with 1.50 large Pilsener beer prices. Prices include tax. There also is a book exchange there.
CHEDAR (flavor, passion and style) Offers you all kinds of preparation in cafes; Also sweet, salty, cold, hot desserts, pizzas, pastas, minced salted and sale of coffee for pounds toasted in grain or ground
I love this place. It is quite new and still mostly undiscovered. The young owners are recent grads from culinary school and this is their first restaurant. Their pasta dishes are wonderful and their pies are exceptional. Extremely clean and comfortable place to relax after shopping in the plaza. I have eaten here at least a half dozen times and have never left unsatisfied. In addition to having some of the best food available in Otavalo (and I live here) they are also the most reasonably priced in Otavalo. You can eat a meal here for $2.50 With free coffee and bread!!!! Try this place. You will not be disapointed

Across from the Hotel Los Ponchos Inn, phone number is 2 927 364. Great cheap pastas and pizzas, and wifi!
I had the medium pepperoni pizza which was recommended by the staff. It tasted good but the crust wasn't outstanding, tasted like a prepared crust. Plus, even though they had a Wi-Fi sign up, I was told it had been disconnected.
We care about providing an excellent service identifying your needs and satisfying them proactively. In a comfortable place, a quiet environment and with the best view to one of the most touristic areas otavalo
I don't usually review unless I find somewhere exceptional so that is the reason I feel compelled to "gush" about 4 month open Lady Blue found on the side road off the northeast corner of Plaza de Ponchas in Otavalo. Up on the 2nd floor, it overlooks the market with lovely views of the volcanoes in the background. Spotlessly clean & very modern with tables, chairs & even the bar, made with wooden skids & decorated with twinkling lights & old black & white photos hung on bulldog clips. Comfy cushions & free Wi-Fi compel me to stay longer & no one is pushed to leave even though most tables are occupied by locals & visitors alike. Many places offer a set menu for $2-$3 but at the Lady Blue, the menu changes daily with appetizers like stuffed crepe, spring roll, always followed by a delicious big bowl of soup, choose from 3 or 4 entrees all beautifully served on modern white china. 1 day I had pork slice with hearts of palm sauce, rice, red cabbage salad, fries & broccoli with a garlic sauce. A large glass of fresh juice & dessert served in a Martini glass completes every meal...for $2.50. Andres, the young owner is the nicest young man, speaks excellent English, answers all our questions with a smile & even tried to refuse a tip! You could eat in the washroom they are so clean & there is soap & towels to wash up (not always the case in Ecuador). I'm very happy to have found a place I will definitely be taking friends & family when I return to retire in 2019.

We took our dear friend (and a long time local resident) here for her birthday last week and I was very pleased by the nice decor in the restaurant and the wonderful personal service we had by the owner! The pizza is the BEST in the country and we are pizza snobs. In fact, my wife is gluten intolerant and this pizza didn't bother her a bit. It's a little on the pricey side for Ecuador, but for this special occasion it was worth it.
This is a nice place in Otavalo. Good food, a nice place with friendly staff, Convenient location near the Plaza de Ponchos when you're shopping the artisan markets.
