This is virtually the first restaurant on the right as you enter Orotina from the new Highway. We tried it not expecting anything much more than the usual Costa Rican fare - 'tipico' food, maybe some pasta. While the menu list seemed pretty ordinary, when the food arrived it was excellent. My chicken quesadillas were delicious, other dishes were also very good and the portions were ample. Presentation was carefully done - not 'dumped on the plate' which is rather common here. Prices were extremely reasonable (for Costa Rica) about $30 for 3 main courses and 5 beers. I have been back since and it was equally good. A recommended stop-off if you're travelling the Caldera Highway, easy to nip off at the intersection and back on again.
