We were recommended this restaurant by a local resident. Unpretentious decor but amazingly delicious pizzas - try the one with smoked salmon and crème fraiche! Served with jugs of red wine and a mousse au chocolat to follow ... great value and friendly service.

We arrived straight from Biarritz airport at around 10.30pm in Oloron. Lucky to find this place still serving food, we ordered 2 pizzas to eat in.What a change from last time... The dough was a burnt square flat bread. The toppings consisted of tasteless frozen ingredients. We were starving and tired so we ate what we could and left..Service was definitely not great.. I will not visit again...

The set menu was a good deal. Very large starter portion - could be half the size and with more refined seasoning. Same for main course. The best part of the meal was the dessert - a truly delicious creme brûlée. Had the starter and main course been of the same standard this would have been a 'very good' rating'

Having seen that this place was rated 4th out of 38 in Olorons St. Marie we decided to give it a try on our one night in the town. On a cold and showery April night we arrived not long after the opening time of 19:00. We sat down and were the only customers but we seem to be told that there would be a delay. It transpired, though the girl was so quietly spoken, that there was a big order being prepared for takeaway pizzas. If there was a delay on a cold, wet April night with 4 staff on the premises I am not sure how they cope in summer. The food arrived after half an hour. The vegetarian pizza was very large with a very thin base, which was very nice. There could have been more topping. It was not really worth the 9.90 Euros compared to the superb pizzas one can get in Italy. It rated a 3 out of 5. The Piece de Boucher steak was a different story. It seemed to be as much as 350 grammes - they said it would be between 300 and 350 grammes â and it was cooked exactly as I wanted it â âbleuâ. The steak rated 5 out of 5. There was no a single bit of fat or waste. However, to order a âbleuâ or rare steak, one needs to have faith in the quality of the hygiene and food management of the restaurant. Sadly, I had too much faith and as a result my digestive system was upset, though not too seriously, for 3 days. For just over 30 Euros for 2 including a half litre of wine this was good value for money.

After numerous messages to the owner regarding availability, finally nailed a suitable day and time for my husband's birthday celebration. The pizzeria was quiet initially which was great as we felt we had it to ourselves for a while until more customers started to co me in.We got down to ordering our pizzas after choosing from the extensive menu, wow, we weren't expecting the size and deliciousness of the pizzas! So filling that we had to take the equivalent of one home!Thank you for the swiftness and patience of answering my messages and then booking us in at really short notice! Plus allowing us to bring our own homemade birthday cake for my husband's celebration.One of the best pizzas in France we have tasted so far@Hello , thank you, it was a pleasure to welcome you to the pizzeria, I hope you have a good stay in France
