First, this "pizzeria" is run bu Turks and not Italians. No big deal, albeit it's not authentic. But most of all: pizzas are not good. Certainly not a thin & crispy crust, not even the thick chicago style. It comes more close to Pizza Hut, but after one bite I spat it out. Decor is very simple and has a disagreable smell. Maybe there are amateurs for this joint, but not me.

We have visited Al Castagno many times. The food is always very good, we usually eat pizza and pasta, with a side salad. Portions are generous and they welcomed our dog in the restaurant too. The staff are friendly and happy to help. The toilets are downstairs so might be an issue for disabled access but to be fair I have not seen if they have a ground level disabled toilet or not. All round a good meal and reasonably priced, a local favourite when we visit the area.

We made a reservation for a late lunch when flying into Innsbruck. Everything was ready and we had a friendly reception and service.The Tirol food and wine was wonderful. There were three vegetarians in our family group of nine.
