The Olive Garden restaurant is situated right on Obans busy Railway pier, the transport hub of the town. At the heart of The Olive Garden is the kitchen, which is exactly as we think it should be. With an open hatch allowing guests to watch our team of ch
We visited on a Saturday evening and the place was pleasantly busy. The choice of food is quite extensive and the food was very well cooked and presented. The staff were efficient and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant and would certainly visit again.

We ate here on a busy Saturday night. Staff were really friendly and we were quickly shown to our seat (we booked ahead and lucky we did)The food we had was delicious and came out in good time. We had a nice window seat so could watch the world come and go as we ate.One odd thing was that there did seem to be a lot of young children working here. There were some adults in sight but was unusual. They did well though and were friendly and checked in with us at the right time.Good visit, good food, nice wine and good service.

A fork-kicking and chair-throwing waitress made the stay quite unpleasant. The food might be okay for a bar late at night with some alcohol next to it. But not for lunch or some serious dinner. Food was quite tasteless. The pizza was drowned in oil âgarlic and chilliâ simple means oil... the pie was not a pie!
The Cuanra Restaurant is fast gaining a reputation for the finest cuisine. Our highly experienced team of chefs take great pride in the sourcing of the very best of local produce. The intimate atmosphere enjoyed is accentuated by the twinkling crystal cha
Had two nights at the Queens hotel (one of my other reviews). It was really very good indeed! On the first evening I was there I had haggis balls for starters - really nice. This was followed by their blade of beef - which just fell apart (could have eaten it with a spoon) and was absolutely beautiful. This was finished off with a nice (and suprisingly light version) of clutie dumpling and ice cream.I have to say I was even more impressed by the second meal there. I had lovely starter of smoked salmon on a saffron mayonnaise - excellent! This was followed by an absolutely devine chicken dish with a very tender chicken supreme on haggis and a fried potato cake, in a really delightful sauce. I finished off this meal with a really nice variant of sticky toffee pudding. They have an interesting and full wine list too - and the breakfast buffet they put on in the mornings is really nice too (lots of choice of hot and cold parts to this buffet).Thoroughly recommended for a stay and a feed if visiting Oban!
