This used to be our go-to spot. Then they took off my favorite menu item, Moroccan chicken salad and now they just decimated their frequent dinner program. I used to get over 10% savings with it; now itâs less than 5%. Tried a couple of their new menu items. Wasnât overly enthused.

Havenât been here for a long time. Last time was an extended delay - with a reservation. This time we had an early reservation and got seated right away. Restaurant quickly filled up. It was exceedingly noisy. Very hard to carry on a conversation. Large selection of good and interesting Italian dishes. Enjoyed our food - pasta for the Mrs. and chicken with sausage and peppers for me. Wish it were a little quieter though.

Italian-inspired flavors and style-forward design are the core elements that went into creating Pancetta. The menu tempts a wide range of palates with top quality ingredients and thoughtfully prepared dishes served in a sleek yet casual space.
Lunch was great: a delicious salmon and a tasty hamburger (although the concept of "well-done" for the hamburger was difficult for the kitchen to accept). Dinner, however, was a disaster. Both pastas were overcooked, the sauce tasteless, and the vegetables indistinguishable. We ended up buying chocolate bars instead.

Trattoria Oliverii, established in 1991, offers comfortable Italian dining in the heart of Northbrook, IL.
I had wanted to take my mother out to a nice lunch here. We arrived at 1:40 and were rudely told that we "better order fast" because they were closing in 15 minutes. My mother asked if that was the normal closing time and the waitress said yes. They had a huge sign in the window advertising their lunch specials until 3pm Monday through Friday. What sort of restaurant does not know what hours they are open? I guess this one...

Our first time here. Reasonably conversation friendly. Bread comes with cooked garlic spread. Yummy. Enjoyed our salads. Mrs. especially enjoyed her pasta primavera. I had the very large, off the menu special, veal Milanese. Was good but probably not something I would order again next time back. Service was very good.

Stopped here for a very late lunch (or very early dinner) with a friend. We noted the interesting ceiling design which included sound absorbing fabric baffles. Most places don't give much thought to designing a space acoustically for good conversation. This place does. We were seated and the service was friendly and fast. I had a vegetable pasta that was very good plus. The rigatoni cooked to a perfect al dente texture. Most Americans do not understand that in Italy pasta is about texture, not really about the sauce. It was also lightly dressed, in the Italian style. The vegetables: eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes, etc. were grilled, not sautéed and so had a wonderful char flavour to them. Each one was done to its perfection so it appears that each vegetable was grilled separately. The default appetiser was bread and olive oil with a small plate of grated parmesan. The parmesan was a nice touch. The oil was infused with, among other things, oregano. You have to really like oregano. I found it a little more bitter than I like. Plain extra virgin oil and salt and pepper are plenty. As we were in a rush we didn't try the dolce. The prices were reasonable and it represented good value. I would go again.

Was traveling and had the pleasure of eating here. I'll eat almost anything Italian but this was truly spectacular. The space is elegant and romantic, but the bar was still full of energy from the beautiful bartender Marcy, and sports located upfront. I enjoyed one of the best old fashions I have had in a while, pear salad, warm bread, eggplant with pasta, finished off with tiramisu. ALL of the food was amazing. I had an amazing time and would recommend it for any occasion.

I went to this restaurant this month for a luncheon with some coworkers. We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, calamari, spicy shrimp, chicken parm -> all was excellent. Excellent location for Large Parties. The Service was just OK. The restaurant was empty but server was no where to be found and was slow with getting drinks.mlukasik331, we're sorry to hear about the service during your dining experience on your recent visit. We had a real good dinner here the other night. All the ingredients are super fresh and you can tell the pasta is homemade. I had chicken vesuvio, which would have been great except for the ten pounds of garlic on top....it was everywhere...I could barely eat it. Plus it was swimming in a bed of butter/olive oil....I would not recommend ordering this dish...or order it without garlic and sauce on side. Too bad, since the chicken seemed quite tasty. However, I would return and try the pasta dishes which I think they are known for. Service was a bit sketchy, I ordered a glass of Chianti and ended up with some sort of white wine....and at end of meal we got the wrong bill.....and then even after that our waitress said she charged the wrong amount....huh?? This place is VERY noisy so that may have something to do with the miscommunications....however I would still come back and recommend to others. Prices are ok for the area and what you get. Come early or you probably have a long wait as they do not take reservations and there are only like 15 tables.
