Angel fairies in ballet shoes dancing on my tongue. Ravioli in Barolo reduction. Then the veal fillet in peppercorn sauce is without doubt the best veal I have ever eaten in my life. We will come back this way SPECIFICALLY to eat in this FANTASTIC restaurant. I would give it a 10 if I could PS husband said cinghiale with polenta was stunning too

This is a stunning little restaurant with nice lights outside and quirky bits inside. The food we had was lovely- however wine slightly on the pricey side compared to other places around the area. We were however a little disappointed that despite it being slightly before 8pm- we were not allowed to order from the tapas menu which we really wanted. Non the less the other menu was nice.

The Chesal 1805 Bar and Restaurant is located on the pistes of Melezet, in Bardonecchia, a beautiful village in the upper Val di Susa and is a popular tourist destination in both winter and summer. It is in the heart of the Melezet ski area, situated at t
Conveniently located mid way between Campo Smith and Melezet so this became our morning coffee stop. Plenty of places to put your skis. There is a lift you can use to go downstairs to the loos if you really can't face the steps.A bit confusing that you go to one counter to pay for your drinks and snacks then queue again to collect what you ordered. More tricky if you want food as that is displayed where you collect it from so you walk backwards and forwards! Our friends had some of the hot snack sandwiches and said they weren't the best, we only had drinks and they were fine. W didn't eat in the restaurant bit but it looked nice.Quite a bit of seating inside and outside

Food. Nice - big portions of chips and nice panini's. Great location right at the point that a wasn't red ski run ends. Nice deck chairs outside for customers use. This is a free service unlike some restaurants in Bardonecca. Food prices were he same as other restaurants in the area.

Pizza & Beers.
Well my wife and I have been to this area 3 times before although in the winter. This time in early September we were taken by a Bardonecchia ski De Meastro Mattia Pont and his lovely girlfriend Marika to this place in Melezet. We thought we had had good pizzas before, but the pizzas here are to die for. When my pizza was put in front of me the aroma was fantastic and the eating it was a delight. I have never had a pizza so good and so very tasty. Please if youâre ever in the vicinity please go and have a pizza and one of their many hand made desserts you wonât be disappointed. The staff are fantastic and very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about what beer or wine to have with your meal.Next time my wife and I ski into Melezet we will make our way to here for A pizza.

Stopped by while hiking in the Valle Stretta, which has to be one of the most gorgeous and unspoiled places in Italy (oops, it's really in France). This inn/restaurant has a nice view down over the river in the valley. Loved the authentic polenta, with good sausages and cheese. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The owner's (big, goofy) dog was sweet.

This was a wonderful rifugio. We parked in Italy and walked up the snowy road to the rifugio which is actually just over the French border. You didnât need snow shoes to get up to the rigugio, and they had a snowcat to take people up and down if they needed it. There was a small charge for this service. This rifugio was quite large with several groups staying. We were in a dormitory to ourselves which slept 15. We stayed over New Year. The rifugio was comfortable and very warm. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They would provide sandwiches for lunch for around â¬3-4 if you booked them the day before. The evening meals were fantastic. They catered for me as a vegetarian. On the second night it was new yearâs eve and they prepared a feast for us. Iâve never seen so much food, we couldnât eat it all! I was a little hungry as I had a little bit of vegetarian starter as one of the first things brought out, but then there were so many courses and dishes of just meat, I had to wait a couple of hours before they brought the polenta out. I was really hungry by then. There were so many dishes, it took all night and they kept coming, but the food was lovely. They also provided dessert, and coffee and shots were offered at no extra charge. Before dinner on each night they had an aperitivo, and on new yearâs eve this was done outside on a table made out of carved snow. They had a small bonfire and fireworks to see in the new year and yet more food outside. The area around the rifugio was beautiful and we went snow-shoeing up the mountain. They rent snow shoes for a small cost if you need them or you can bring your own. All in all a wonderful stay and I would like to go back and explore some more!

we've been on an exploring enduro ride arround bardonecchia and found this rifugio for a lunch. the tight valley is not what we call an enduro heaven, cause it's more like a quiet place to relax, walking and fishing. so we decided to stop for a lunch at terzo alpini. we had formaggio, polenta, salsiccia and the cervo. the meal were really tasty and the ladies in service were so friendly, we were so exited and happy. for sure, we'll come back. sorry for the bad english.., we're swiss guys ;)
