Roma Restaurant Pizza Pasta

Reviewed By Mike R

My wife and I went to Roma's for a late lunch because we had heard from several people that the food was good. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered a stromboli and the lasagna. Both were excellent, fresh marinara sauce and ingredients! We will definately be back as we will be in the area soon!

Eddie's Pasta & Pizza

We visited here the other night on our way up to Boone. We stopped here because we couldn't find any place else we wanted to eat at.This was a pleasant surprise. I got ziti with a side salad and home made bread. My wife got a steak sub which was also made with the home made bread. Our service was very good and the prices were quite reasonable. We will definitely come back here again when we head to Boone again.

Pepperoni's Gourmet Pizza

Reviewed By kedalion1

I guess it's the curse of the pizza biz: you make more money on eat-ins, but dining space is the highest fixed cost for a restaurant. So what do you do? I would encourage the ownership of Pepperoni's to get with an interior designer and find a way to increase their seating (they could fit 3-4 more tables in there easy) - the place was packed and we were on the verge of walking out but a table opened up at the last second. I'm glad we stayed! The pizza was hot, fresh, and tasty. The wait-staff stayed on top of things from refills to doggy bags, the table was clean, the large crowd was cheerful! Great place! But seriously you need to accomodate more than 30 diners. Go for it! It's the only thing holding you back from 5 stars!

One time visit says it all. I won't be back. I have to admit it has been a long time since we ate there and decided to give it another try. I was hoping the food improved. It did not. So maybe in a year or so we will try it again and hope it gets better,

Luisa's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria

Reviewed By AuntBeem

Four of us went for lunch on Sunday. The place was packed. We were seated right away and greeted by very friendly waitstaff. We all decided on getting something different. The big hit was the meatball sub. The other entree meals... not so much. I got the Chicken Piccata. We all got side salads. The salads came quickly. The dressings were very good but the salads were very unevenly divided. One plate was full of greens topped by a few veggies...tomatoes and an onion slice with a large handful of mozzarella. The other two were plates with just a sprinkling of greens and tomato and onion slice with mozzarella. I do not like to see such uneven servings. I saw the same thing happening at other tables. (We were seated by the kitchen exit and saw the food go by.) I ordered Chicken Piccata. What I received was a palm sized ( pounded 1/2” thick) piece of very tough over cooked chicken with a bland sauce. The lemon was hardly noticeable. The pasta was cooked perfectly...but I could barely taste the sauce on it due to lack of flavor. My friend got the Eggplant Parmesan . She said the eggplant was tender but the sauce was overly sweet and lacked flavor. My husband got the Spaghetti with Meatballs. He also remarked that everything tasted generic and bland. At first the waitress brought out one tiny loaf of bread...smaller than a hoagie roll... for our table of four. There were only two pats of butter. When we asked, she brought more. The bread is outstanding. We were hungry because the kitchen was obviously overworked that Sunday and it took almost an hour for the entrees to arrive. Therefore we ate and left. None of the four in our party plan to go back as there are other options in town that we consider a better value for the experience.
