Asti, located in the heart of San Diego's Historic Gaslamp Quarter, has been providing guests with an exquisite fine-dining experience since 1994. Watch the passersby as you dine out on the patio for a pleasant shaded lunch or while indulging in a candlel
Fancy Italian restaurant in the Gaslamp quarter. The food is good and the portions reasonable. But the tables are too crowded, and service is very slow. Not what I expected for the price.Thank you for dining with us. We are happy that you enjoyed our food! Family Italian Restaurant Providing Dining, Full Bar, Banquet Halls, Catering, Take-Out, Delivery, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Service Since 1955. Enjoy La Bella Cafe & Games Next Door & Dine Late Every-night
We had a great meal of pizza, antipasto salad, and fried cheese ravioli. Pretty good beer selection and the waitress was very efficient and attentive. It is a popular restaurant and seemed to also have a busy takeout counter. Our experience would have been more pleasant if the decor was updated, the vinyl on many chairs and booths was ripped and dark kind of dingy interior.

Il Fornaio means "the Baker" in Italian. This award-winning restaurant offers an authentic and unique Italian dining experience. Specialties include wood-fired rotisserie and grilled meats, poultry and game; housemade pastas; pizzas from an oak wood burni
We've eaten at several Il Fornaio restaurants and have never been disappointed. The Coronado location was not an exception. The location could not have been better, with a view right across the bay to downtown San Diego. The food and service were both excellent. We all ate different dishes and nothing was left over since everything was so good. There's plenty of parking right by the restaurant.

This quaint, but noisy, and popular place is well worth a visit for generous portions of Italian classics. The neighborhood has many dining options, but locals love this kid-friendly trattoria. Service was somewhat patronizing, and the waiters were more into hanging together, rather than bonding with patrons, or even inquiring about questions.

A little on the hip side but our server was on top of her game and the pizza and salad were top notch. Our server suggested splitting the salad between two people and she was right in the mark.We order the So Meaty and the addition of the ricotta made the overall pizza taste very creamy. Good toppings and a nice thing, crisp crust.I highly recommend.

We visited my 2 sisters and their family in San Diego. They decided to take me and my daughter to this restaurant for dinner. My sister didnât live too far away (1.5 miles) and the weather was super nice so we decided to walk there . You can see bright orange chairs with a crowd of guests already enjoying their dinner. We had reservations and waited about 10 minute for them to seat us. We sat outside so we can enjoy the beautiful weather and people watching. I wasnât as hungry so my daughter and I shared a pizza . My daughter wanted her traditional pizza with pepperoni , bacon , etc ... but none of that since this is a fancier Italian restaurant (but dress code is casual). We ordered the Nicola (with prosciutto)pizza . My daughter didnât like it and I didnât think it was all that. It lacked seasoning . My sister also let me try her pasta with shrimp and mussels (not all that , a 3 out of 5 stars) . The version at Carabbaâs was way tastier ! Food wise , the seasoning could have been better but the atmosphere was awesome!

This Italian/Pizzaria restaurant has a great atmosphere for family, friends, and couples. The prices are just right, provides a great bar with great options of drinks. Location is busy and kind of hard to find parking but worth the stop. Very clean, friendly and great quality food. If you have never stopped here for a bite to eat I really encourage you to come out and taste for yourself what you are missing.

Definitely go here for great Italian food and service! We were greeted warmly by Dago who also was our server, and offered a table very quickly. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio, and we both ordered Caesar salads. With my order of chicken Parmesan with veggies, I added a side of pasta with the most amazing sauce! My husband tried the spaghetti carbonara. The food was cooked perfectly, the portions were generous and the service could not have been better!
