We went for dinner on a Saturday night with friends we had a great meal the food was great. My husband who is gluten free ordered a pizza, as he rarely gets to eat a nice one, and he and a fellow diner who ordered regular pizza could not tell the difference between gluten free base and regular pizza base he was rapped. Prices are very reasonable and service good. Look forward to returning again soon

Extremely disappointed to arrive at this restaurant only to find they have one sized pizza, and despite claiming to be gourmet pizzas a meat lovers was $25,They would do well to look at the likes of Boccincinos in Parkdale or La Lupain Tyabb to see how a top pizza is made and the amount of topping on a pizza should be

I don't take this review lightly as I generally think many people who review are very picky BUT decide for yourself... Arrived and sat down at 1.25pm Had to beg to order at least 40 minutes later as chaos ensued all around us. Other tables waiting and getting food slowly and at different times - some the wrong thing as had run out of Gnocci (an Italian restaurant!) Got one drink and waited. At 3.20pm we were served after a couple of apologies about the wait during the previous half hour. If that had been all I may not have complained but the food was disgraceful. A seafood pasta the size of an entree with one prawn and 2 mussels and one finger nail sized piece of calamari and missing the creamy tomato sauce described on the menu. Lamb cutlets that were in fact cheap and extremely fatty chump chops sitting on watery overcooked vegetables. My salmon had been cooked so badly it was white and sat on mushed up broccolini that was horrible and cold. All meals were appalling but we ate some as starving and unlikely to get anything anywhere else at that time, We then left after paying full price!! Never go there. If the restaurant has a real chef he wasn't there that day and if they don't get organised with a proper one and people who now how to run a restaurant on a busy day I expect they will be out of business very soon.Dear Helen,We are really sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at La Veneta. We would like to offer your group a dinner at your convenience, because we know that we can offer you a very good experience.Warm regards,Team La VenetaAnnette â OwnerMauro â Head-ChefWesley â Restaurant Manager
