To celebrate two birthdays, we opted to have dinner at Maggiano's. The warm bread and huge salad were great. Both my wife and I ordered the chicken piccata dish. My chicken was over done, but when my wife shared a piece of her chicken with me, it was fork tender. The pound cake (ala mode) desert had burnt edges but the inner sections were very good especially the glazed bananas. Even though we dined on a Wednesday evening, the main dinning room was completely filled. So Maggiano's must be doing something right.

My daughter wanted Italian food for her birthday dinner at someplace local and casual. So we went to Sal and Joe's. Immediately you're greeted with their toasty oven baked garlic bread. Yummmmmm! Then salads... just ok. The entrees... most were very good. (Eggplant parm and chicken parm... awesome. ) Their tomato sauce is fantastic. Great for dipping! My husband had the tuscan pasta and it was dry. Overall our meal was good and filling. Most took part home. A huge repeat customer base of regulars.

The pros...fresh bread, pesto and freshly sliced cheese from giant cheese wheelthe cons...1. watched waitress slice cheese from the cheese wheel with no gloves...placed one hand in cheese and sliced with other and picked up with bare hands to put on plates. I suppose if I had not seen it I would not care (ignorance is bliss) but she had been taking dirty dishes off table, handilng money/cc etc.2. Service was very slow, only 2 servers..not their fault. 3. Ceasar salad bland, basically oil/vinegar with grated cheese ( I at least expected the cheese wheel cheese), no black pepper offered, no anchovie taste..dissappointing. 4. Only 4 Scallops for $30, tough/bitter=old. Crab cakes too much filler and lukewarm. Will not be returning.

We popped in here for lunch, not having read any reviews. The place seemed nice enough and the service was good. But our sandwiches were lacking. I had a Caprese panini, which looked good, but had so little pesto that it lacked flavor. My son had the Steak panini and found it extremely dry. My husband had an avocado wrap with dry turkey. We asked for some extra balsamic and that helped his wrap and my panini taste better. Overall, our meals weren't bad--they were just average, but I don't recommend places that are just average.

The food is fantastic, no matter what you select! Whether dining in, or taking out. Diners will find a variety of menu offerings, and the chef often customizes meals according to guest preference and food availability. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The owner is easy-going, amicable, and welcoming with a particular interest in his diners' experience. It's like dining with your family, and having a GREAT cook in the kitchen!

This was not the intended destination. To much chili peppers at another restaurant sent us here. Promptly seated, waiter served water and warm bread and took our order. A great meal, reasonable prices, BYO , prepared to taste and nice surroundings. Place was packed.

We have lived in the area for years but were not familiar with this establishment. I received a coupon in my birthday pak and we decided to try it. We were very pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere, service, and food. We both enjoyed our dinners tremendously, and we brought our wine to enjoy with dinner. We will return.

Was up here last week, staying in Mt. Laurel and chose Anthonyâs Coal Fired Pizza for dinner. Place was packed with a 30 minute wait but we chose to just grab a seat at the bar. Bartender could not have been nicer â very friendly and attentive. Asked about the beer selection and he quickly gave me a couple tasters. Our meal was simple â two personal margarita pizzas and a large salad. They did not have our first choice of Caesar salad so I asked the bartender for a recommendation and he said the Arugula Salad with Burrata cheese without skipping a beat. The Arugula salad was fantastic â arugula, roasted red pepper, a tad of red onion and a light vinaigrette type dressing â and of course the fresh burrata cheese. I would come back just for the salad â it was excellent and went perfectly with our pizza. Pizza was excellent â perfectly cooked and tasty. All is all, we had a very nice dinner and we could not have been happier. Great coal fired pizza and great people - will visit again.

A group of us did take out Sunday. We all ordered different salads. Everyone was disappointed. Each salad had about a half a head of iceberg lettuce. It was a waste. The toppings tasted like they came from a grocery store just cut up and placed on top. I had a Cobb salad and it was tasteless. Not sure if folks expect a container to be filled to the brim but I would have liked some variety of greens and not so much. A cheese that had some taste and ham that was more than a slice of packaged lunch meat. Maybe their other food is better but I would suggest not getting a salad here.
