We have had the pleasure of dining at il Pozzo di Radi 4 times. Each time we are amazed at the quality of the food. Recently I had a pork dish and it was the best pork I had ever eaten. Also the pici with pesto is absolutely wonderful. The husband and wife owners are a delight. Once you start to play and joke with Stefano he will play right along with you. His wife Daniella is the chef and she will let you k ow what is good that day and she is not wrong. A prior post reference the interior as sad. The only reason I would think they would say this is either they had sight issues or expected an extreme high classic style. The interior is bright, clean and typical Tuscan. It is 20 minutes from Siena in the middle of the country. Stefano raises his own chickens and turkeys and does his own hunting. It's is truly a wonderful experience to drive the beautiful distance to have an unforgettable meal and memory.

We were travelling back fromMontalcino and my daughter really wanted pizza. We saw a sign for the Borgo Antico Hotel Ristorante Pizzeria so we detoured off the main road and entered. (Parking is across the street from the hotel, and down s few steps). We were greeted by a friendly man (perhaps the manager?) and enquired about pizza ... as the sign at the hotel had pizzeria now covered over /blanked out, despite the glass in the entry porch still saying Pizzeria. He I formed us that there was unfortunately no pizza. The signs were out of date. So he offered us the menu and my daughter agreed to try the. Hi men.We took a table indoors despite being told that the terrace is lovely. We'd been eaten alive by Mosquitos already so wanted to be indoors. The dining room was very pretty with arched brickwork /vaulting. It was a very impressive e room.3 of us ordered chicken cutlets with chips whilst my husband ordered lamb. We also ordered some green beans and buttered potatoes as sides to share. We ordered wine and water also for the table. We were brought a basket of dry sliced bread whilst waiting. We were t given olive oil and balsamic vinegar to dip it in so we asked for some butter. This totally confused our water who eventually brought out a plate of lettuce with some shavings of butter on top. The food when it arrived was not very nice. Only my son ate most of his chicken. My daughter didn't like it at all so I ate some of hers and some of mine as I thinkIt was supposed to be like that - a very flat thin slice with s lot of breadcrumbs, and it appeared to be fried (for maybe a little too long). My husband said his lamb was over cooked and had very little flavour or meat. The greens were quite flavourless too and the potatoes were very salty. They appeared to be sauteéed but I can't be sure.We didn't order dessert and stopped further along the road to get pizza for my daughter as she barely touched her dinner in the restaurant. On checking the bill we found that they also include a cover charge of 2 Eurostar per person, including our 2 kids. It's called Coperti on the bill (see attached photo), so be aware to factor this cost in. We tipped anyway, despite not enjoying our meal, having failed TK notice the cover charge already on our bill. We won't be back at this restaurant. We wouldn't recommend it either.

What a bliss to find a small bar / restaurant in a country side like this!. Owned by a couple who are very nice and friendly. They are willing to provide you information about the area, other restaurant, wine and olive farms around. Affordable drinks and decent options of aperitif. Fantastic food, really lovely staff, lovely casual atmosphere sitting outside and good value. Lots of locals eat here so the experience is authentic. Pizza's were excellent but we also had some lovely meat dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant was recommended by our agriturismo and it was wonderful. We had the risotto, bruschetta, and a delicious pizza with ham, mozzarella and arugula. The wait staff was very attentive and managed to go orders along with our sit down meal. It is quaint and warm and welcoming. Highly recommend. Pricing is well done -food and service well worth mid range pricing. Risotto was best we have had in Italy.

This restaurant was recommended by our hosts at Castello di San Fabiano and it was a good recommendation. This family restaurant in a rural setting is non spectacular inside but the food and service are great. Loved the great food, house wine, service and value for money.

My reviews on trip advisor show how passionate we are about good pizza... We found this place which has no curb appeal but absolutely fantastic pizza and antipasto...my husband loves German beers and this place has lowenbrau on draft along with great Italian beers. The restaurant was super busy for a Saturday night and the take away pizza business was doing a roaring trade with pizzas the size of bin lids being taken away!... Great place you gotta eat here!Thank u alison. We are very grateful to u and your husband! We hope to see u again in the future . Giada

Restaurant where you can taste dishes of Tuscan cuisine and savor local wines. We have a wonderful veranda summer evenings and we also do fish dishes. Suitable for ceremonies or for quiet evenings with family or as a couple.
The restaurant is in the town of Monteroni d'arbia which is a short drive from our cottage. We had the steak with truffles which was excellent. The appetizer of quail eggs & truffle was another scorer. Their mains of pasta with wild boar ragu was good too. Overall, the food is highly commendable. We even returned a second time!

This is the bar/pizzeria/osteria on the main street in the village of Ville di Corsano.
We have been in Tuscany for a week and have had great meals and great wines all over the region. We keep coming back to our favourite little ristorante in the small Ville Di Corsano, for the food, the wine and the great staff! It opens at 7:30pm so we are typically the first ones, after our Aperol Spritz is enjoyed on the front 2 tables, by the roadside where the locals gather to talk about their days across the street. The food is made with such care and every morsel is delicious. We have not made one bad choice and the specials always feature locally grown and sourced foods, meats and vegetables. Very reasonably priced and the staff are great!Take out pizzas are tremendous and hit the spot for 5 euros! This is a must eat here if in the area!
The quality of the food in Siena has been fantastic, but the standout restaurant for our visit was Trattoria La Porticina. An amazing indoor restaurant with brick vaulted ceilings, just off the side of Piazza II Campo. Their speciality is Game. We loved the home made pasta with duck sauce, the pheasant pie, which were both delicious and the venison carpaccio and Angus beef, both smoked with Cherrywood were equally delicious. This restaurant will be our first choice for our return trip to Siena. Thank you for a great evening.
