We spent about a week in Mirissa. On our second evening we chose this restaurant for dinner and it was a very good decision. The food was delicious, especially the grilled fish and also the vegetarian meals tasted pretty good. We ate directly at the beach, which is really nice. The waiters and barkeepers are really friendly and offered a good service. We also ate there the other evenings and I hardly recommend this restaurant to everybody who is visiting Mirissa.

I was passing through this restaurant towards Hambantota with my family and we stop there for a lunch break (Randomly selected). I am very picky on my foods normally, but I wasn't dissapointed at all with the freshness of the food... Over all the food, service and the atmosphere were great. Happy staffs and happy customer!!! Difinetly, stop by again if I pass by... And for sure recommend to my family and friends!!! Thank you all for the great service...

We tried Mexican, Sri Lankan, seafood here and it was delicious. Staff is cheerful and helpful. Prices are adequate (for those from Europe and USA - cheap). You can bring your own fish and it will be cooked with a little fee! We travelled half the country and I can say that this is one of the best restaurant in Sri Lanka so far.

I've literally just had the most amazing breakfast here so felt they deserved a review. Avocado toast with eggs - Yum! The best breakfast yet. As usual the Sri Lankan people are absolutely lovely â¤ï¸

Pappagallo is the first original Italian restaurant in Mirissa. We are specialized in bruschetta and pasta. Every day we use only fresh ingredients.
We visited this restaurant after seeing all the rave reviews on here. There is no signage for this place and we even walked passed it along the beach. Unfortunately our experience was not the same as nearly all the other people that came here. The owner was too busy on his phone most of the time and not tending to the restaurant. When we arrived there were 2 x tables already occupied by 1 person at each table and both had already been served. We ordered drinks with waitress. My mojio was not good and really sweet. Finally ordered our food with owner requesting that even though my prawn pasta dish on the menu said it had no chilli i asked if it had chilli and oh yes it has chilli in it and requested no chilli be added to my pasta with a "Yes, yes of course I will tell the cook" but then 2 European girls sat at a table. The Europeans were given their drinks straight away and not long after their food arrived. After a while our bruschetta was served. Literally 2 pieces of toast with sliced tomato on it and sprinkled with oregano and salty as, nothing authentic so far? Waited then another 30 min for our pasta to arrived. They served from a pan and asked while serving : "if that was enough ? and how hungry are you "? Wth? We ordered ages ago of course we are hungry now. What else were they going to do with it? Put it in someone else's meal? The pasta was out of a box , thought the italian owner may have made his own authentic pasta ? and yes my prawn pasta had chilli in it. I returned my dish and cancelled it and shared my husband's tomato pasta dish with him. Meanwhile a table of 10 Europeans walked in and they were tended to straight away.

Serving a combination of Seafood, Grill, Italian and Sri Lankan cuisine in a charming cafe atmosphere.
Del Tanos and O Mirissa are the same. Their food was quite good - weâre vegetarians and so ordered a pizza, a pasta and their ravioli. The ravioli wasnât cooked through fully and so the filling was still a bit cold. Rest of the food was very good. For dessert, we had their warm gooey brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream - definitely the star!

There are plenty of seafood restaurants in Mirissa, but at Freshwave, weâve added a little extra to the experience. The restaurant has been designed for happy chaos and lively banter, similar to the hubbub of a seafood market. Frshwaveâs day begins in the
Amazing restaurant right on the beach. My partner and I tried almost everything on the menu and were never disappointed. I particularly loved the mango lassi and the curry was one of the best I've ever had! The staff were super friendly and helpful, providing us with valuable local knowledge. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The happy hour from 1-10pm was a nice touch too
