Excellent and friendly service at this small and cosy restaurant. A wide choice of Italian specialities as expected and we both chose pasta dishes. Not that we don't like pizzas, but as one gets that bit older ones appetite deminishes, and the pizzas were huge. A good selection of wines to go with the meal and also deserts, which after the pasta, although tempting were a little too much for the two of us. If you are a fan of Italian cuisine then make sure you try ot Casa Filippo next time you are in Westende.

second visit. We had the first shift, which means 18.00-20.00. It's sufficient time for starters (portobello with ricotta and foie gras), a main course (try the pasta parigiana made in the dining room) and dessert (the vanilla ice cream with meringue for instance). Nice affordable wine list. Friendly staff.

We made reservations with friends and our two-year old. They have a wide variety of pizza for kids by the way. I had one of the salads and have two say I was disappointed with it. Two muh onion, two little bacon and some potatoes. And it looked liked it was just put on a pile on the plate. I ate it, but did not enjoy it. My companions where happy with their pasta, but I tasted one and was not impressed either.Maybe just not my flavour.

I had divine Tortellini Spinaci, my partner was more than delighted with her rich Pizza Frutti di Mare. On top of everything, we are convinced that Ostend finally has another 'real' Italian restaurant: one of our neighbours enjoyed a Spaghetti alla Carbonara WITHOUT CREAM.Grazie
