G's Pizza, Welcome home.
I had the narcissist - it was great! The crust wasn't thin or thick - somewhere in between. The Brussel sprouts were really good. The City Park salad was really good too.Our server was super friendly and helpful with suggestions about what to order. They were open past 9pm on a Monday.

The Peppermill restaurant provided us our last meal, breakfast, on our trip to New Orleans. You know a great restaurant when wait staff greet locals by name. The menu offers great variety. I ordered the hash stack with a side of liver and onions. Both items were delicious although, as I find at most restaurants, the corned beef hash consisted more of potatoes than of corned beef. My wife enjoyed crabcakes Benedict. Our son ordered pancakes and eggs which were perfectly cooked as ordered. I can recommend Peppermill without hesitation.

Serving you the best of out family's Italian recipes made from scratch daily. Our menu includes po-boys, seafood, daily features and our favorite Italian dishes. Since 1972 our regulars have told us we have the best roast beef po-boy ever. Just come in an
Our friend in Metarie were taking us out for lunch but the place was closed. I saw this seemingly tried and true place and said let's go. What a good improvisation. We wanted seafood and N. O. traditional instead of Italian. The fried seafood platter was great butthe roast beef po boy was even better, The Muffelata (reccomended by the guy in the corner table) was, as he said better than Central Grocery. And the mashed potatoes were great too. Next time we'll try the Italian.

We had the creamy italian and blue cheese vinaigrette on our salads and neither one was exceptional. Would not get again. Wife had parmesan crusted chicken and was not impressed. I had the chicken carbonara and was shocked to find that the chicken was not grilled but was a "breaded" cutlet. Was like chicken fried steak with cheese gravy. Would not recommend. For an Italian restaurant the bread basket was a complete disappointment. Junk bread with an onion flavored butter. Decor was 2 star anywhere else in the country but for NOLA I would give it 4 stars. Felt like you were a made man on Goodfellas.

Closed due to damage sustained in Hurricane Katrina.
I have been going here for 50 years whenever I am in New Orleans. The food still remains delicious. I always order a stuffed artichoke and chicken parmesan. It is always cozy and the smell of garlic permeates wonderfully. I highly recommend this neighborhood restaurant.

My son and I went on a brief New Orleans trip and our driver from the Airport recommended Mandinas as good local restaurant. He was totally correct and would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Vincentâs is a neighborhood bistro in Metaire but is not classic creole. Instead, this was classic Italian creole. The owner, Vincent, seated us in this small, crowded restaurant that smelled greatâlike garlic! Appetizers were artichoke with crabmeat and oysters Vincent. I got the eggplant medallions with crab and shrimp for my main and my husband got a great giant soft shell crab sauteed with crawfish on top. All the food was amazingly flavorful. Wine was interesting. The list is limited and doesnât have enough Italians on it. We selected a Hartford Chardonnay that we knew was good and the price was reasonable ($55). The waiter delivered the wine and apologized. The supplier had given them the wrong bottle of Hartford. Instead of the standard bottling, they had the single vineyard Four Hearts bottling. Would we accept that? Oh yes! And they gave it to us for the same price!

I've been frequenting this establishment for over 30 years. I used to meet my wife there for lunch as a get away. Unfortunately their great pizzas didn't remain a secret for long. Never had a bad pizza there.
