We had such a great time in this restaurant (Hippie Fish) everyone is such friendly and I don't heaven tell you about the food which is succulent. The restaurant is beautiful, they prepare music nights ponctually (jazz/blues etc..). Special thanks to Yuli for her smile, and to David for his special Gin'coktails (the butterflies one) because thanks to him we have traveled with his creation and to everyone who works here. Went along tonight swayed by glowing reviews on TA. Seated in quite lovely surroundings, albeit a little stiff and contrived to what would normally suit us. Given menus promptly and our ordered bottle of sparkling water. Considered our options, keen to order cocktails, but no service for such a long time that we reconsidered cocktails and settled on a bottle of wine, but again, no service- waited, waited, looked longingly - then called it quits, which is hard to do when you feel compelled to order and are keen to do so, but honestly how long do you wait before you say “enough is enough”. First off, what a gorgeous restaurant! It is so unassumingly located in Ubud's alleys amidst the several souvenir and art stores. It really does look like an adorable street cafe in a quaint European city with a really relaxing vibe. Second,they have air conditioning which is a huge bonus in Bali. Third, the food was excellent and drinks top notch as well. We ordered two pastas, both perfectly al dente and well flavored. I was surprised there was only one other party - perhaps they get busier for dinner. This had everything you want for an Italian restaurant, sensational food, friendly service and great bar selection. The decor is fantastic too. The fettuccine Bolognese was out of this world all the taste and texture of a great Italian meal. I also had the pleasure of the spicy sausage pizza that lived up to its name, the home-made spicy sausage really hit the spot. The dirty martini was perfect too. There was not one thing to complain about. If your looking for a fantastic Italian meal that is very reasonable in price, look no further. I wish I could give it more stars it was that nice. We have arrived at Anita's Warung by chance and this was the beginning of a love story with the exceptional food Anita and Chris manage to produce every day and every night. Definitely one of the best pizza I had in years. We have repeated the experience more than once to explore every aspect of the menu : top Italian pasta, top Indonesian fusion.Do not miss the experience !
