You might think that this is just another Italian restaurant on Long Island. You might think that you need to go to a well advertised restaurant rather than a local recommendation. Touch of Venice is really impressive in the excellent food department. Everything we ordered was terrific. Baked clams, pasta, fish, veal...you name it. Excellent. We had reservations...I would recommend making them especially if you want to dine Friday or Saturday.Staff is very attentive....drinks are served with a hefty pour.

Food was outstanding. Service slow from a disorganized disinterested waitress. But a greater disappointment was upon getting the bill there was a 4% fee and a note explaining why the restaurant felt compelled to charge it. Really? Is that even legal? When I was in business my credit card agreements forbid me from charging back my clients and I never paid anywhere near 4% fee, not even to AMEX. So are you making a profit on that fee in addition to insulting your clients? Sorry, food was delicious but there are a lot of restaurants with great food where I donât come out feeling like a chump. I wonât be back.

We came for dinner as staying nearby.Nice place and busyWe were four and had an assortment of meals including pastas, all well received. The normal zucchini flowers were replaced by squash flowers, unusual and inventive also very tasty. Our waitress was very smiley and in fact all the staff seemed to be happy in working as a team.Only complaint that the air conditioning was quite cold, and we later thought we should have sat outside where there were heaters! We left a tip on the card, but on checking later it did not seem to have been taken? So thank you for a lovely meal, and if we lived in the area we would surely return.
