Lovely restaurant decor, warm, friendly and helpful service and delicious food. We were impressed. This doesnât feel like a chain at all as it has an individual feel. Lovely lady served us (from SA we think) it was a fantastic experience. A large special lasagne with extras and a fab veggie pesto dish - yummy.

This was my first visit to Marlborough, and on the train beforehand I did a quick internet search to see where I might eat dinner tonight. Marlborough is not short of eating places, including various predictable chain restaurants. But the receptionist at my hotel - the Castle and Ball - said "You really should go to Pino's". He said it with such passion and authenticity that of course I went there. And I had a wonderful evening - partly because the food is so good; partly because the staff are so attentive.Pino's is a proper Italian restaurant. It's all about the ingredients. I had the best mixed salad ever - lettuce, radish, a bit of fennel, perhaps - and a seafood squid-ink linguini that was breathtaking - rich in flavours from the Mediterranean, plus garlic and chilli.I drank an amazing couple of glasses of Umbrian organic red wine, a digestif of grappa, and throughout the evening had wonderful conversations with the staff - people who exude pride in what they do and in the food they produce. The hospitality was exceptional. This is a seriously good local restaurant. I'm so pleased I wasn't drawn to a predictably, lazy-choice chain restaurant. Instead I experienced something special and authentic and memorable. So, yes: long live Pino's.

Bright and modern, Pizza Express offers an exciting reinvention of Italian classics. A vibrant menu includes wholesome Romana-style pizzas with adventurous topping combinations, as well as fresh salads, an impressive range behind the bar and aromatic coff
A friend and I were hoping to participate in a delicious pizza which of course was a treat as it was the weekend, we ordered two pizzas for collection, What we actually got was two uncut pizzas not evenly covered in toppings and pools of grease. The staff appeared to be clueless as to what was going on and decided to âguesstimateâ our change from £40 cash, the pizzas came to £36. Weve been to Italy and have had large pizzas with sides and a couple of drinks for less than 40 euros!!Poor service and pizzas in the shire!! Will not return!!
