It was great to re-visit this Mar del Plata classic, for locals with a good palate, traditional restaurant. Food is unpretentious with excellent attention to ingredient quality, portions are generous. Wine list has improved since our last visit, service is sober but super efficient. Pricing, while not budget offers better value than a couple of competitors which we also visited during this long-weekend trip with the family.Overall, I think that La Casa Vieja is one of the best kept culinary secrets in Mar del Plata. It doesn't get the press and the hype of other places but matches and outshines many of these better known places. In my opinion, this restaurant is not to be missed if you visit Mar del Plata.

There's a simple reason why I'm the 1st reviewer in English! Only the smart locals & Argentines seem to know about Vespoli. If it wasn't for an Argentine relative, we would have never seen it, as it's away from the tourist area. But it was well worth the 30 minute walk from our Dos Reyes Hotel. I had Spaghetti with meat sauce at 120p, my wife the Caneloni at 125p & we shared a salad at 60p. Cubierto(silverware charge 20p each. Homemade pasta at it's best! No white table clothes or cloth napkins, just a feeling of eating with many families in Italy. We will return next trip to try more of their dishes and excellent service!

Dei Fiori is an authentic Italian restaurant that took us back to our trip to Italy 2 years ago. Truly excellent food, wine and service, very family friendly, warm and welcoming hosts, and wonderful Italian menu. We started with the tuna/tomato app and egg/potato salad with prosciutto. Then our main dishes were the veal napolitana and shrimp with olive oil, garlic and penne. Too much food for 2 people to eat so we took almost half of it back to the hotel for lunch the next day. Very reasonable prices but worth so much more! Family run/owned restaurant that treated us like part of the family! Suggest making a reservation because this restaurant was packed when we were there in April (off-season)! Grazie mille per averci dato il benvenuto a casa tua e ai tuoi cuori!!

I was walking by the street and I saw a hostess. She was with a chart, and a couple of families waiting to get in there. My wife usually prefers to choose places if they are full of people but I prefer to avoid crowds. In this opportunity I was amazed of the existence of a structure. I take a look and got a glimpse of a couple of things: a maitre, runners and waiters all over. Mar del Plata is a city but it´s not Buenos Aires. Still today it´s difficult to find a restaurant where you can recognize a complete organization. I made my mind and we walked inside. They gave us a table right away and from the beginning to the end I got nothing but excellence. Great service, great kindness and good food. Maybe the food wasn´t the best thing, but still an excellent whole experience. My wife took a Merluza that had too much lemon, and I got a delicious stuffed with a seafood combination pasta. It was a great deal. Good prices.Maybe the best place I´ve been in Mar del Plata.

I recommend this restaurant for a good Argentinian-style pizza (thick crust and a lot of cheese) in Mar del Plata. It is well located, offers good value for money and has efficient service. Besides, of course, their delicious pizza! Their "Pedrito" signature flavor is worth a try.

Well located, near the trendy "Güemes" Street at the Barrio Los Troncos. Like an hidden paradise of food and relax, best place for romantic dinners. Excellent service, the food is tasteful- we tried some appetizers and the best Spinach Cannelloni, with an exquisite Malbec Wine - and well served. They don´t accept credit cards but we got a 20% Discount while booking for the first shift on Saturday night, at 8:30 pm.

Nice seafood restaurant, visited by the people of Mar del Plata mostly, you have to book a table or wait.
We had lunch at Sur on a Sunday and were not disappointed. Excellent shrimps breaded with coconut and very good Salmon Sur. We will come back.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was a lot of fun. The great thing about this place is that it's a closed door restaurant, so you call ahead for reservations. We were served a dish of potatoes and meat together, as well as some sushi-- the chef was showcasing her award winning sushi. We the had live music while eating dessert. I highly recommend going to this restaurant if you get a chance, for a fun night with a great environment.Hi Kristen! it was such a pleasure to meet you, and thanks for visit our country. Hope you come here often and call us to dinner in our place. Greetings from all the staff :)

We were the first to arrived but we had to wait an hour and half to be served. We told them twice that the kids food should be served as soon itâs possible. But they didnt do it or cared. The Restaurent opens at 8:30pm so u can imagine how hungry the kids were.My sons pasta was very salted and we did mention it to the waiter. My plate was ok but also too much salt. Over all not an experience I care to repeat. Poor for the service.
