Reviews on Italian food in Luanda, Luanda Province, Angola. Sitting on the Western Coast of Africa, the port of Luanda is the capital and largest city in Angola. Founded by the Portuguese in 1575, the city has had a tumultuous history, finally achieving peace in 2002 after a long civil war. Now with a swelling population and surge of construction, the city is experiencing a rebirth. Take a break from the busy city and visit nearby Mussulo, a spit of land covered in coconut palms, bungalows and bars, and featuring wide sandy beaches and calm waters.

After eating here on numerous occasions i managed to enjoy both the ala carte and the take away menu Both where very nice but my favorite was by far the Stroganoff pizza coupled with a large ice cold beer The service was always good and the waiters where all very friendlyOutside on the terrace there is a large tv which always had the football on and the restaurant also provides free wifi

Having been to Gelati several times now, I can confirm it's a very good gelaterie. There are always plenty of flavour options including my favourites caramel banana, coconut, dolce de ovo (like sweet egg, think, meringue) and of course chocolate.Their prices are fair. 600Kz for a single scoop in a cone or a cup, 900Kz for 2 scoops and 1200Kz for three scoops. They also sell brownies and crepes, with or without ice cream and these are served well in a insulated polystyrene container so you can eat now or later. I will say though, it's pretty pointless for them to heat the pre-made crepe and then cover it in ice cream because by the time you reach the pancake, it's freezing. I suppose this one would be better as a 'sit-in' option. Speaking of which, their sit-in area is on the path out the front, near the road. A nice enough place to sit though and every time I have been, there have always been plenty of security personnel in the area.

Don Castellana offers authentic Italian food, with a good choice of different options, ranging from pasta to pizza to meat. Make sure you have a second choice in mind when you order as they often don't have every item on the menu available. Good wine choice.

Pizza Restaurant Bar and Grill offering excellent in dining, takeaway and delivery services. Great relaxed atmosphere.
Was recommended this place by some coworkers stationed in Luanda. Decent prices, good food and excellent service. Only tried the pizzas, which were thin, Italian-style made.

The pizza is good and the ambience is very relaxed. Due to its location in the center of the city, it is an easy place to visit anytime, day and night.

Had the prawn and lobster risotto with a beer. Expensive but great choice and a good restaurant with friendly service in a good atmosphere so recommend.

Service was good and price OK. Had the breakfast pizza today and was delivered quickly. Superb tasting but the small is a bit large for one person, that doesn't matter as they boxed up the remains for later.

Business dinner with colleagues. It was supposed to be Portuguese or Brazilian, as the name recalls, but is also a bit Italian and a bit something else, without a precise identity. In any case, it didn't satisfy any of that (too oily, too spicy, too salty, ...).It's a pity, as the location is really nice
