An intimate setting for your special occasions.
The Black Olive is a very nice high-end Italian restaurant. The place is small but intimate, white table cloths and flowers on the tables. The decor is nicely done. The service is usually very good, they sometimes have new hires that should have more training before they put them to work. The food is very good and they have a decent wine list. I understand it is under new management and have not been back yet to try. We sort of save the Black Olive for special occasions as they are priced on the high end for most of the dishes but the dishes are way above the average for Italian in the area. I believe they are only open for dinner now. They used to have birthday specials and a great New Years Eve dinner but I do not think they offer either one any longer.

Bonellos has been a South Bay fixture for decades. Tony is not only the Real Deal...Sicilain born and lived in NYC, but he's a hell of a nice guy.His homemade fresh chicken soup will cure what ails you, and his staff is friendly and courteous. He has a big screen tv with sports if you so choose to watch the game, and his attitude is amazing. You will not regret eating there. I have tried most of the items on the menu, and even had my birthday party there last year! Bring your own wine and have a great meal!

Here with an extended family of 20. We had a reservation and all went well. Food just kept coming out. They have a regular menu and the family style menu that we ordered from. We had trouble fitting all the food on our table. Restaurant was packed. We enjoyed our dinner. Calamari, Meatballs, Bruschetta, Salad, Tiramisu, etc. all very good. .

Located on the border of Torrance and Lomita, this well-known, well-liked pizzeria is a local landmark. They have excellent Pizzas, great sandwiches, and decent Italian dinners. But they are famous for their "Garlic Knots" Breadsticks. They are crazy good and highly addictive!

We picked Gaetanoâs as a lunch spot on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. The food is authentic Italian cuisine at a reasonable price. We had the meatballs and tagliatelle with Chianti sauce- both dishes were well prepared and delicious. The service was outstanding- pleasant servers who made great menu suggestions. The restaurant is in the middle of a strip mall which can be off putting but donât let it deter you. It is a great lunch stop in Torrence.
