When visiting the area we always stop into this restaurant for the great food and atmosphere! We love the decor and the staff is wonderful. My son has the table side Mac and cheese. The preparation table side is worth the trip! It tastes out of this world!! There is nothing bad on the menu, itâs all delicious!

Stephanie Nicholson opened and established the local award winning favorite Fireside Brick Oven Creations in November, 2010. Dine in the elegant, open space restaurant, sit on the patio during the summer, carry out and delivery are all available from Fire
There were six in our group, all with a different selection. All the food hit the table at the same time and quality and taste were excellent. The owner seemed to know the names of most of the clientele and greeted customers in a friendly manner. Thanks! We are pleased you and your party enjoyed everything! You will need to introduce yourself next time you are in so I will know your names too!

Had dinner before a show at the casino. Service was excellent- friendly, prompt. First issue was with the Aperol Spritz - barely any aperol in it- asked that the waiter take back to bump it up to a real Aperol Spritz- hard drink to screw up- when it returned still not right- take a pass on it. Sangria was apparently better. Crunchy eggplant was the hit- nice sauce and nicely done. Bread was excellent. Marguerita pizza was meh, spicy pork pasta was ok. The lighting is also odd. Again service was great- they just need better drinks and food to work with.

We have driven by Buon Appetito Ristorante many times on our way to Foxwoods. The last time we decided to stop and have dinner. Both my husband and I ordered the chicken parmesan which was absolutely delicious. The waiter who served us was great. Cozy. American/Continental Cuisine. Elegance for the casual diner. Located in Mystic, Ct just off Interstate 95. Away from the downtown traffic and parking hassles.
Went as a couple last Friday night to celebrate our anniversary. I can't comment on the food or drinks, but I can provide feedback on our awkward and uncomfortable experience. We walked and to check with the hostess and were asked if we had reservations. We said no , but don't mind if there's a wait. She actually rolled her eyes and said " Well, it's at least an hour wait!" We said that's ok and asked to place our name on the wait list. No problem we figured we'd have a drink at the bar. Bad idea! As soon as we walked in , not even taking a seat the man behind the bar tells us" There's Five People waiting for these Seats!" We hadn't even asked. He appeared to just kind of get in our faces as soon as we even dared to walk in. I've never felt so unwelcome and this did hurt my feelings. We are never turned down like this. I understand it being busy on a Friday night. But, we decided to go elsewhere not due to the wait time, but because we were uncomfortable about being served food by people who were so inconvenienced by our presence. Ended up going to Go Fish where we were welcomed and had great service, good food and awesome martinis, but that's another review.
Have gotten takeout from this place once or twice a month with a group. This review is based totally on takeout. I've never eaten in the restaurant. I've only ordered grinders. The BLT grinder either comes with not very well cooked bacon, tomatoes that are not ripe yet, or missing mayo on the side. There is always a problem. Hard to rectify when it is dropped off. They do OK with a cheeseburger grinder, but they sometimes forget the mayo on the side, and often the tomatoes are not great. So if you are looking for take out, may not be the best place.

Food was expensive but very good. The staff we encountered seemed distracted and miserable and the environment was cold, with seemingly little effort expended on making it warm or inviting. As another reviewer mentioned, we also felt rushed. Despite this, I would most likely return here.

Hubby and I were in town for a concert at Mohegan Sun and needed a good, non-extortionate place for dinner. Valentino's in Ledyard filled the bill. They are a pizza place up front but a full service Italian restaurant in back. Portions are huge, and luckily we brought the cooler with an ice pack to bring the remainder home. Everything comes with a salad to start, and it's a good salad with mixed greens and assorted olives. Hubby had the zuppa de pesce, totally delicious in a yummy red sauce, all the shellfish perfectly fresh. I had Veal Casa Blanca which I wasn't crazy about, but it was my mistake in ordering since the brandy cream sauce made the pasta thick and gummy. An otherwise delicious dish, it had three big pieces of sauteed veal and three giant shrimp on pasta. For dessert we split a cannoli which was very good as well. We didn't order drinks this trip but have in the past. There's an adequate wine list. My recommendation is not to get anything in a white sauce, go with red, and you will have a happy experience.
