More than acceptable burgers, sandwiches, piadinas. Reasonable prices, best among the neighbors.Strangely enough, waiters were actively discouraging customers by declaring the kitchen "overwhelmed" with orders and warning about exceptionally long wait times. In the end, we waited 20 minutes for ours. With less off-putting communication, we might even have ordered coffee, or a dessert.

We visited the ristorante Miramar several times during our stay in Lacona and we're not disappointed by the food. Good food for a fair price, great location directly on the beach, and staff is mostly friendly. If you are unlucky to sit in an area where one member of the staff does not come over as overwhelmingly friendly, I guess it is mostly due to the high amount of work they are experiencing in high season. They serve lunch and dinner, and due to the location directly on the beach they also have continuous business throughout the day. So having worked myself in the gastronomy business during studies I can kind of understand if one lacks the motivation at a certain point. However, that's part of the job and customers have a right to be served with the expected friendliness. This happened maybe twice in the time we've been there, out of 8 or nine times, so if you are unlucky that it happened to you on the first ti e, give it one more try and sit somewhere else, the atmosphere, location, food and the friendly owner deserve it.Try "pesce al forno con verdura", the salad of the house, penne al pomodoro and have a good beer or wine essentially on the beach and you will have the Italian beach and summer feeling. Be aware that also lots of Italians go there, so sometimes it can be louder and typically Italian if larger groups comes in, but that's part of the experience, isn't it?

We were on a family vacation in Lacona, Isola d'Elba. We booked a table for 9 persons (6 adults and 3 young children) because we wanted to follow the European championship while having a nice dinner. The atmosphere of the pizzeria is very pleasant. There is a spacious covered terrace, and there is plenty of room indoors as well. The staff are very helpful, special thanks to the guy who was making the pizza dough by rolling it and throwing it into the air. We ordered pizza, which was wonderful. We returned to the restaurant for a second time as well, but this time we ordered different dishes, such as gnocchi, squid, steak etc. We were served big portions. The squid tasted a bit bitter, but the other foods were delicious. They serve very nice wine, but the wine of the house is also quite nice. The restaurant was not crowded, so booking is not necessary, at least in June. The prices are not high either.

We took our large family to Mondo Pizza on several occasions. The friendly family-owned establishment has great pizzas and more. The Pizzaiolo, the owner's son, was also very friendly and accommodating and makes a great pizza. The giant pizzas were a highlight of our Elban meals, as only two of them fed all 5 of my children!Go here if you are ever in Lacona.

The Orano Restaurant is a family run business in the center of the splendid Gulf of Lacona. You can access through the pedestrian access from the main street, Via dei Golfi or through the Beach.
I follow the latest review about this placeAnd I believe this place for position, quality, services and opportunity to try a very local food dinner is the best choice.

Andrea at "Il Mandorlo" suggested this little cozy restaurant to us, saying: if you want to eat well and, somehow, something different, you should go there; well, we went, twice, which is unusual for us, since this is the place to go.Just a few selections, as it's supposed to be for a small local restaurant, but always fresh and always great.Seafood is a must and we had it twice but we've spoken with people returning for the steak.Great wine (they serve some of the best Italian wineries) and exceptional price with a friendly service.A gem at walking distance, a gem you'll have to look for and, to be sure to eat, better call and reserve the table, in advance!
