Auf der Durchfahrt haben wir heute zufällig den "Bären" (Pizzeria Diavolo) entdeckt. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und setzten uns in den einladenden Garten. Es hatte am Mittag 3 Menüs zur Auswahl. Da wir zu Dritt wahren, hat jeder von uns ein Menü probiert. Alle Menüs waren sehr gut. Die Bedienung freundlich und effizient und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Everything fits here: from the warm welcome by Franco via great starters and a very tasty pizza or pasta dish (or maybe a bistecca) and the not-to-be missed homemade Gnoccis ! Chef & staff are very friendly ! Very recommendable !

I thought I died and went to pizza heaven. I've had great pizza in Italy and this new trattoria is right up there. In fact my partner pronounced it the "best pizza she has ever had". For someone with holiday homes in Italy, fluent in the lingo and cooking heavily Mediteranean, such praise carries weight.We play boccie with Swiss-Italian pensioners. Those guys know and care deeply about their cuisine. So when they waxed lyrical about a new restaurant with "buonissimo" pizza, we had to go. Now we are also cheerleaders for this wonderful find. Cosy and charming, the owner-chef is incredibly proud of his produce. He advised us which days the fresh seafood would arrive, the saltimbocca always freshly-done.... they make (in-house) all their pasta, gelati, and yummy panettone. With professional service, free parking and stupendous cuisine, we will visit regularly for sure.

The lunch menu didn't disappoint but rather impressed. The "Avocado Tartar mit getrockneten Tomaten und Räucherlachs" was a nice surprise for the taste buds.The "Pochiertes Goldbrassenfilet mit Kräutern, Weisswein, Knoblauch, Peperoncini und Cherry Tomaten, Salzkartoffeln und Gemüse" was nicely seasoned and delightfully presented.With 1/3 Liter Santa Margherita pinot Grigio and half a liter of water, the tab was $100 for two.The waitstaff was attentive and the food was served in a timely manner.The upstairs portion of the restaurant has a nice view and the tables have cloth covers and napkins.

We had been to Gustav's many years ago and decided to give it another try. A busy Friday night but they were able to find us a table without a reservation. We were given menus and asked if they had a children's menu - we were told no, but we can do a child portion of any pasta or pizza. We order two pizzas for my husband and I and a portion of gnocchi with tomato sauce for my daughter.The pizzas were quite soggy (no wood oven here) and rather small. My daughter's gnocchi was ok but were a bit chewy and the tomato sauce was nothing special.When the bill came, they had charged us CHF 17 for my daughter's pasta! I asked the waiter and he just said that was the price. We won't be back. It is clearly an establishment not looking to attract families. And given the quality of the food, we would not visit again as a couple either.

Visiting family in Switzerland we were looking for an affordable restaurant for an early family dinner. This pizza / pasta restaurant was suggested. On a warm evening we took a table in the garden (from which there are views of the lake, across the road). The waiter was very efficient and welcoming. There are a wide choice of pizza and pastas on the menu. Most of our group chose pizzas which were all enjoyed very much. The one pasta dish we tried was very well cooked. Desserts focus on a selection of ice cream based dishes. By comparison with many of the restaurants in the area, the bill was a pleasant surprise - around 230 Francs for two courses for 6 people, inclusive of soft drinks and glasses of house wine. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for an informal, relaxed Italian meal in the quiet town of Altendorf.

Great small and cosy Pizza Place.It is a courier service but with something like 30 seatings. It is very cuteand has the feeling of a true italian osteria.Very recommendable.Lunch offer ist 20.-- SFR for Salad, Pizza and a non alcoholic beverage !

I have been visiting this place several times in the past. This last visit was a in June 2015 was a confirmation that they really serve excellent italian food accompanged with a warm service-minded staff. It is a little bit expensive depending on what dishes you choose. Will return - of course.
