We ate here during a business trip to Hanover. The place was packed so I was glad I had booked. The location was good for our hotel & the trip advisor reviews were pretty good - so we thought it was worth a try. Very Italian, very good fun, good food and nice wine.I asked the waiter to recommend their best pasta dish and I was not disappointed. Pasta cooked just right, with lovely flavours and a good sized portion. So obviously not as good as you would get in Italy, but would I go here again? Absolutely - we had good food and drink and great fun!

I've been there while I was with my company at Hannover Messe. One of my german colleague has been there the day before and said it was good. I've been to some italian restaurant abroad and I've been lucky. But any Italian who comes to "Il mio Sogno" will get upset even before going inside. The signboard is enough to understand how tawdry is this place. When you go inside things get a little better but i'm really sorry, it's not enough to have some italian furniture and stuff to create an italian atmosphere. The staff is helpful but rude and shout at the customers like they're all drunk. We took a Nero D'Avola bottle which was low quality but decent and not expensive so it's ok, but even if the restaurant wasn't full they didn't have enough glasses and mine was covered with dust.To reduce the risk I ordered a pizza with crudo ham and rocket salad. The pizza wasn't awful but far far away from italian pizza and very similar to frozen pizza you buy at supermarket. One of my colleague ordered spaghetti with tomato sauce and basil and i have to say that the sauce was good but spaghetti were probably cooked for half an hour.I didn't order any dessert but I saw the tiramisù and it looked very good.Good thing that they had a decent choice of decent grappa. To conclude I have to say that 1 star is probably to cruel, but as Italian I was very upset about everyhing and I find upsetting also that a lot of german people found it 5 star... it's a scandal. Please German people trust me, this is not the right place if you like italian atmosphere and food.

We booked into Roy's for their set-menu NYE event, which was a reasonable price and a good choice of courses. Received a very warm welcome upon arrival and the service was exemplary. Really enjoyed the food and a lovely laid-back atmosphere. Would have no hesitation in recommending for a future visit

Being near the Copthorne Hannover we visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening. One order of pasta, one lasagna, and two pizza. The pizza was very good with fresh crust and the other two entrees were good. Friendly service.

The greek restaurant Konstantinos is a lovely place with good food and drinks, with tasty salads, pasta, vegetarian dishes and our excellent Greek meat plates like Gyros, Souflaki, barbecue plates, lamb chops, fish, with soups, appetizers and desserts. Fr
This place is not that far from the trade shows. We were a group of 10 and they seated us in the back and this was great for conversations. They have a great menu with some vegetarian dishes. Grilled lamb was liked by all. They do not speak English that well and there were some goof ups in the order placed. But they quickly corrected that. Owners were very customer focused and made sure everything was done right.

A return visit for another excellent meal. Good food and very friendly staff. Staff take the time to help you with your choice and recommend meals based on your tastes. The menu can be adjusted for your likes and dislikes. Excellent service.

Nothing fancy or surprising, not sophisticated, really average. German portion so be careful - I would have preferred a half portion with more refined ingredients and hand-made flair but as a neighbourhood Italian they can't be really tailourling the restaurant to please the Messe exhibotors who come only once a year, I guess. Red Italian glass wine was very cold, surely kept in the fridge. Ask specifically for room temperature or just take a good (German) beer. A reasonable place if you are too tired to explore more central (and competitive) part of the city.

In Hannover for business, a colleague brought me here for dinner, close to the Expo fairgrounds. It's small and pretty popular, several tables for eating in and also a busy take-out business. I had wonderful cheese cannelloni with bolognese sauce, followed by a lovely panna cotta. My colleague had a steak of some kind which was so tender he hardly needed his knife. The owner and servers are very friendly!
