Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Kronberg im Taunus. Kronberg im Taunus is a town in the Hochtaunuskreis district, Hesse, Germany and part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area. Before 1866, it was in the Duchy of Nassau; in that year the whole Duchy was absorbed into Prussia. Kronberg lies at the foot of the Taunus, flanked in the north and southwest by forests. A mineral water spring also rises in the town.

...somehow in the back of a corner in Kelkheim, this cozy place really surprises dish by dish... They have just astounding Italian flavours in every dish, a lunch menu of ridiculous 10 Euro with 3 dishes, super freshly made bread with butter...I mean, really WOW.WOW.WOW. The pumpkin soup, the lasagna like pasta with spinach and cream, and the apple tart at the end were just delicious. The fact that they have different gelato desserts (also during the winter) makes the place even better. There is also a "surprise menu", but many different dishes like octopus (at reasonable prices, but even if it was more expensive...it would be worth it...)...that I will definitely try next time. The atmosphere is rather classic but simple, service extremely nice. Definitely worth the detour from Frankfurt city!
Wow!

We liked this little restaurant a lot. The food was very reasonably priced and the atmosphere buzzing. Pizzas ranged from ⬠to â¬9.50 with most around 6 or 7 Euro mark and they are baked over wood in their pizza oven. (We didn't have pizza but they looked very nice). The same price for pasta dishes, all the pasta is home-made from scratch and there is also a specials menu which is slightly more expensive but looked delicious. We had an enormous side salad that included large chunks of tuna for only â¬4.50. As the name suggest, this is a family run business and the owner has a real drive. The place was buzzing with locals, the only bad thing is that there is not too many seats so if eating at the weekend, I'd book first to make sure there is space. Portions are large and service is always with a smile. All in all, well worth it, particularly if you are travelling on a shoe string. Give it a try!
While ViPiano has not been open very long, we have already been three times. The atmosphere is both warm and cozy. The owner has larger restaurants and opened this small venue so that he could could be more intimately involved with the customers. Due to the small space, reservations are a must. The staff are super friendly and genuinely interested in the customer and sharing delightful eats! The dishes are small and the wine options perfect. It is highly recommended to skip the a la carte choices and order the daily menu - you will not be disappointed. Typically you will see four - small - courses paired with wine. Itâs the perfect amount to truly enjoy the wonderful cooking.

Chose to stay in Konigstein im Taunus after arriving in Frankfurt for it's cobbled old town. It is a delightful place not frequented by Americans. Having read about flammkuchen, we wanted to try it there. Wow! Had the cheese, onion and mushrooms . It is similar to the Alsatian tarte but better. Other items in the small restaurant were good also.

This place is located on the main road and parking can be difficult at peak times. We were staying at a hotel which was walk-able distance so it worked well for us. We came here for a dinner, an impromptu team dinner but were lucky to find places as the place was almost full. The food itself tasted good, but the portion and price leave a feeling of hunger in the stomach. The service was slow but it was expected going by the nature of the place. The restaurant is located in a building with some historical significance and they seem to ride on its popularity.

Stopped by this Italian restaurant (run by authentic italians) with some friends and really liked it. Attentive staff (despite full house) Saltimbocca alla Romana, fish dishes, pasta and pizza all came well made and tasty. Sure worthwhile to spend some time there.

My wife and I are retired Canadian professionals living in Frankfurt for 18 months. Today, between Christmas and New Years Eve, it was overcast and foggy and wet, and we decided to explore the narrow cobblestone streets of the incredibly beautiful little towns of Kronberg and Konigstein, with their timeless estate/residences. We had made reservations at Miro's (highly recommended) because we assumed, rightly, that the local residents would be a good gastronomical influence! Miros is located on a hillside overlooking the valley below. The exterior is unassuming; the interior is very nicely decorated, warm and welcoming, with linen tablecloths. The owner himself seated us at a table with a view.If readers look at the comments on the attached photos, they will see why we were so delighted with the meal. The flavours and presentation were excellent. The ambience is such that families will enjoy dining, as well as couples looking for a memorable experience. (Why dine at other fine restaurants where the stuffy, stiff formality creates gastric ulcers?)The cost of the meals is entirely reasonable for the high quality and absolute professionalism. We will be back again to explore the menu. Bravo Mirwais!Thank you very much! You have to come back on a sunny day to take a look out of our windows an to see the great panorama. And of course, to explore the menu.We are looking forward to see you, kind regardsMiro
