Reviews on Italian food in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, United States. Kittanning (/kɪˈtænɪŋ/ pronounced k-TAN-ing) is a borough and the county seat of Armstrong County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. It is situated 44 miles (71 km) northeast of Pittsburgh, along the east bank of the Allegheny River. The name Kithanink means 'on the main river' in the Delaware language, from kit- 'big' + hane 'mountain river' + -ink (suffix used in place names). "The main river" is a Lenape epithet for the Allegheny and Ohio, considered as all one river. The borough and its bridge were used as a setting for several recent films.

Out Christmas shopping with my husband, stopped in for lunch. Greeted and seated quickly. Looking over the menu, so much to choose from and everything sounded delicious. Ordered Pepsi, Iced Tea, Deluxe Steak Hoagie, Chicken Parm Hoagie and basket of fries. Very large portions, everything was delicious, great service, clean restrooms, very friendly staff, great atmosphere, highly recommend.

Ate at Falsettis Villa Restaurant Sun 03/24/2019 at 4pm. Our cost before tip: $48.59. This is a 100% locals only spot recommended by our hotel. It was about 6 miles away, rural and hard to find. Yet, the eatery was totally slammed by 4pm - and had a waiting list after that. Parking is impossible with not enough spots for everyone, even at 4p. Shabby exterior and non-descript, thrifty interior. There are several dining rooms - we sat at a booth in the bar area. This may be a local favorite, and maybe we could have done better with our selections, however we will grab a bite a bit closer to our hotel the next time.Details:DECOR: Shabby exterior, thrifty interior, crazy difficult parkingSEATING: Several dining areas. Our booth in crowded bar area was busy but comfortableMENU: Huge with excellent varietySERVICE: Friendly, helpful, overworked but attentive, though place was totally fullPORTION SIZE: Huge.. Much more than we could consumeFOOD QUALITY: Just ok - we probably didn't order rightCLEANLINESS: Clean, but far from pristineNOISE: Loud - remember the place was packed...OUR EATS: Veal scaloppini, salad, bread, spaghetti, fries, large draft beer. Wife had Linguini with clam sauce, salad, bread, hot tea. Changed our minds at last minute and probably should have gone with first choices. Paid at register but got no breakdown on individual item charges.

Pizza is excellent. Love the taco pizza. The subs are really good too...especially love the steak and the seasoned French fries. Everything is good...have never had an issue at Mel's.
Definitely the best restaurant around!! All of the food was very good. We tried all of the appetizers and throughout our large party of 14 we tried all meals and specials, not a single complaint! Everyone was very pleased and enjoyed their food very much. I got the ravioli special and it was very good! Definitely will be back soon!
