Its population of 8,412 (2011 Census) makes it the eighth largest town in County Kildare and the 55th largest in the state, with a growth rate of 8% since the 2006 census. Although Kildare gives its name to the county, Naas is the county town. The town lies on the R445, some 50 km (31 mi) west of Dublin – near enough for it to have become, despite being a regional centre in its own right, a commuter town for the capital.

Went for a days shopping at Kildare Outlet and the only sit down inside option (besides Starbucks) seemed to be here. We were looking for breakfast, it was tasty but expensive for what you got, a coffee (regular) isn't much bigger than expressos I've gotten. The fully breakfast is â¬16 without a coffee/tea. We had tea, coffee, smashed avacado (which was more puried in a tiny ketchup sized holder) with poached eggs and scrambed egg and toast, â¬28. Really think its overpriced, they have the traffic due to being the only real breakfast place. In future I'd stop on the way down than go back at those prices. Staff were very nice.

The Collosseus Used to be a macaris cafe , Macaris then turned it into an Italian Restaurant, it has now resumed back to being a Cafe and I just love it. Its the first time i have visited this place since it reverted back and I have to say, its a very elegant cafe. The presentation of the food is like nothing i've ever seen in any other, with the chips coming in a miniature frying basket (little things please....). The price is reasonable and the food is lovely. All i can say is.. welcome back, i am sure many are glad to see its return and i am sure i will make a few visits in the future.
