Walked in through City Entrance ( Big Statue ), young lady offering Menu just inside- polite , not pushy:First left and we entered an atmospheric courtyard: Restaurant on the left , checked out the Menu and another delightful Lady explained the menu .We were ready to eat and picked a table :My Wife had a risotto and I had a Chicken Dish : Both were great with a couple of beers: Service was great and two coffees and Gelato complimented the meal nicely: Pleasantly priced and would come again:Recommend definitely:

My husband and I were on a holiday in Split and had been on a day trip to Dubrovnik getting back quite late. After a quick shower and a pre dinner drink at a local bar we went here for a pizza. We also ordered a salad and were most impressed that it was delivered with our pizza as we have been to so many places that have brought it out first. We like to eat salad with our pizzas.Great meal and service was spot on.Dear Suehawthorn, thank you for your time dedicated to share your experience at Portas! When we arrived, almost all tables were taken, but staff quickly found and cleared table for us. The waiter came immidately with menus, gave us time to decide what we're having, and food came on out table hot and within 15 minutes. The whole time they were really nice and attending eventough the restaurant was packed. And the food was excellent and good value for the money.

The pizza was good. We was there for dinner, service was OK, clean toilet. The main reason for this review is prices which are 30-50% cheaper then in similar restaurants around Split. So if you need good cheap food this is the place. It is on main road, with parking, and service is also good.

Both opted for a pasta dishes which were under the âappetiserâ section of the menu. These were both huge and more than enough for a main meal! We also tried the bread infused with garlic which was amazing!! The meal was reasonably priced but mainly because our dishes were appetisers..Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for seafood dishes or anyone whoâs keen on fresh bread (who isnât!)

Recommended by a passer traveler we sought out this little restaurant in a side street. Clearly a popular place even for locals as they patiently waited for a table. The food is well priced and delicious and the owner and staff are amazing and friendly. Defiantly a must eat at place as you divulge in their delicious home made and baked pastas.

Me and my wife read in local newspaper that Basta pizza is excellent, so we decided to give it a shot, we were really astonished by pizzas we got, crust was exactly on spot, soft and thin, very rich with ingredients , actually its was best pizza that i have ever eaten, its a bit pricey place but considering location, and pizza quality its worth every dime spent. I will visit your place again, be sure!! regardsWe are happy you gave Basta a try and enjoyed the experience and our pizza. We chose this place for its location by the harbour and its appealing menu. We chose the veggie lasagna,we love lasagna !What we got a few minutes later was a pot of bechamel sauce in which a few barely cooked vegetables were soaked in. How horrible ! We had never easy item so much liquid bechamel ! Before paying, we told the lady that our dish was very different than the picture on the menu... She said of course, its a picture from the internet ! How sad!Thank you for your honest review and our apologies for the situation you mentioned.

been there few times they never disapoint. always fresh always tastyi usually eat meat with my family but kids want chicken so i can recommend this mix meat plate with grilled vegetables and fries. It is always good choiche for family lunch. I must say they have great seats by the sea. Very tasty table vine with good price! welcome service!
