Went here on my first night in town (before checking TA - gasp!!) and had soup and a salad (something light given I had spent the entire day sitting in trains). Salad was uninspired pile of iceberg lettuce, and the soup was tasty, but unmemorable. Not horrible, but rather expensive for what you get. There are better options in town, where for the same price you get better food. On the plus side, the service was friendly, and they have a very assorted selection of food and drink, and they have menus in several languages.

We dined out from our hotel one evening and thoroughly enjoyed their pizzas. They are individual in size and excellent. The place is within easy walking distance of downtown Kandersteg.
