Authentic Italian Paninis, delicious salads served in a rosemary bread bowl, and our famous wood-fired breakfasts made in skillets in our monster oven. All fresh homemade ingredients & and delicious organic coffee included with the breakfasts.
Prior to this I have never had a breakfasts served on a skillet baked in a pizza oven, but OMG it's all I want to eat now! It was so good I came back 3 days in a row. I tried the Mexican eggs, they were great, mildly spicy with avocado. The next day I tried the french toast, it's served with fresh wild berry sauce it's so delicious! And lastly I tried the huevos rancheros, I loved that they bake their own corn tortillas for this dish. They also have free organic coffee which was delicious and fresh orange juice and carrot juice. I had a mimosa, after all, when on vacation (-; I haven't had a chance to try their lunch menu, hopefully next timeThank you very much for this lovely review, we are so glad you enjoyed our breakfasts and look forward to hearing what you think about our lunch menu

I stayed in the Amapola hotel for business in Jaco. The hotel was ok as the beds were uncomfortable so I ended up pulling the mattress off of one and putting it on top of the other bed and sleeping that way. When I arrived I received a welcome cocktail which I poured out as I do not take alcohol ever. This was not their fault but perhaps they should have offered a variety of refreshments rather than assume everyone consumes alcohol. The next morning I went for the breakfast that was included with the hotel stay. People were nice and an Italian gentleman approached the table and asked about my room number. The waiter bought over the breakfast plate which consisted of about 6 beans and 12 grains of rice (I am being sarcastic here but the portion was so small it was ridiculous). There was one egg on the plate as well as one half piece of toast and two thinly sliced pieces of ripe plantain. A small cup contained about two tablespoons full of sour cream. After about 3 minutes my breakfast was gone and I could not tell that I had eaten. The Italian gentleman looked over at me and I think he felt bad for a second and said let me get you some more breakfast â âit is only beans and riceâ he said. He came to my table with a full plate of food â a nice complete plate. I was shocked as this kind of treatment almost never exists here in Costa Rica. The food was good and the gentleman shook my hand on the way out and reminded me that they had dinner service. I did not go back for dinner as I left that afternoon. I would not recommend paying for the food there and since it was allegedly included in the hotel stay I am sure they only served the minimum just to say âwell we gave you breakfastâ. I think it is dishonest and they should serve real portions in order to make you want to come back for dinner. The restaurant itself was nice and the people were friendly but one is almost scared to go again because you will enter hungry and leave hungrier.
Comida 100% Italiana, porciones, precios y su buen sabor es lo que nos hace diferentes, pasta y salsa artesanal, buon appetito! 100% Italian food, portions, prices and the good flavor is what makes us different, homemade pasta and sauce, buon appetito!
The atmosphere and food were fine. Prices were clearly printed on the menu. The waitress absolutely refused to honor what her menu said and insisted we pay $2.00 extra. She claimed her boss was not there for us to speak to. Before sending this, we went back today to try to speak with the owner who still was not there. Thanks for your comment, we want to apologize for the inconvenience, unfortunately the waitress was wrong with the price, will not happen again, we invite you to come back to give you a discount or a dish totally free, because is very important to have you back, if you want to give me your contact to coordinate would be great, thank you again.

Restaurante y pizzeria especializado en carnes, mariscos, pizza y hamburguesas, elaborados a la parrilla y al horno de leña.
A quick lunch with a friend...great service and delicious food! I got a margarita pizza and added mushrooms...sauce was tasty, crust was crispy and cheese was plentiful...Two thumbs up...my friend got a burger and fries and she said they were both delicious...my small pizza was HUGE!! Prices were very good. I highly recommend La Gata Flora, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

They had excellent pizzas, drink, outside patio and are located on the main street in Jaco. The restaurant was always busy.
The menu is exciting but the food is disappointing. Mushrooms in my dish were clearly from a can. No flavour. It was obvious the ingredients were not fresh. Overally I think if they get a real chef and proper kitchen staff this place could be great

Pizza Bocho had good pizza and a nice outdoor atmosphere. Made the mistake of asking for extra chees, don't make the same error. Flavor of toppings was lost in way too much cheese. The cheese was really good, just too much. Loved the thin crust. Very friendly and English speaking.

Authentic Neapolitan pizza crafted to perfection with fresh mozzarella, homemade sauces & a selection of 50 toppings, baked in our 1000° oven in just 90 seconds! You can also craft your own salad with a mix of hydroponic baby-leaf lettuce and a selection
Started going to this place when it opened about 2 years ago and all they served was wonderful oven fired pizza. Not they have expanded into breakfast and dinner. All with the same high quality and attention to detail as when they only served pizza. In addition to their great pizza, you can now get breakfast cooked to order, panini's, salads and for dinner a wide variety of chicken, fish and beef. If you tried it for plzza come back for the works, breakfast, lunch and dinner.Thank you for taking the time to review us Bill. We have also just added new Power Bowls that are healthy and delicious. We would love to hear your opinion about our new menu items. Thank you for being a fan!

We visited Amancioâs twice during our visit to Costa Rico. The food, service and experience was fantastic. With no hesitation, the best Italian food I have tasted and Iâve been all over Italy multiple times. The owner, Amancio, who we met during our second trip, is originally from Italy so it makes perfect sense. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and how relaxing it was and the restaurant is in a great location in central Jaco. We had the same server both times - Johnson...very personable and attentive. A real gentleman and someone who was determined to ensure that our experience was nothing short of memorable and fantastic! The food was amazing. We started off with the bruschetta (pronounced âbrew-sket-aâ as they do in Italy) then had the spinach ravioli and the lasagna, followed by tiramisu. Washed it down with some Pinot Grigio for my wife and Peroni for me. Thanks to the entire staff! Oh, and did I mention the complimentary aperitif after our meal? A really nice treat courtesy of the owner. And lastly, they have a great bar and selection of wines. I canât wait to return to this gem the next time weâre in CR. Makes me hungry just thinking about it!!
