Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Isle of Palms. Bordered by pristine beaches and a network of marsh creeks, the barrier island of Isle of Palms has been a vacation spot since the late 19th century when it was only accessible by ferry. In 1929, a bridge was built, which opened up the island to more than just local residents. Today, it’s the island’s great fishing, beaches and golf that provide a few of the magnets for visitors. With a laid-back, easy going, resort lifestyle, the most popular fashion statement is flip-flops and a t-shirt. Isle of Palms is a great place to gear down from a hectic lifestyle.
The magnificent stretch of beach on Isle of Palms is both photogenic and fun. Once you’ve done your obligatory sunbathing and beachcombing at the Isle of Palms County Park Beach, head to nearby Charleston, a 30-minute drive away, which has historic sites, landmarks, shopping districts, golf courses and family attractions like The South Carolina Aquarium and Fountain Walk, a new dining, entertainment and shopping complex nearby.
For golfers, the Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms features two 18-hole courses designed by Tom Fazio and there are several more excellent layouts on the mainland, including Patriots Point and Charleston National Country Club.

Great tasting pizza! Fresh and full of flavor. I've cut back a bit on my pizza, except for Steel City. You will not be disappointed.

Charleston is THE goto destination for high quality dining and Mount Pleasant is no exception. We visited here last night and were blown away. I had lobster ravioli which was phenomenal. We also had gnocchi, pizza and caesar salad. All of it was excellent. I definitely can recommend this place for high quality Italian fare.

Joey Tomatoes is the place to go for amazing crusty Italian loaf sandwiches. All are huge and at $9.50 a real bargain. TIP: In fact, they are big enough to share. Just grab a bag of chips from the counter and you are all set. Had the Grilled Zuchinni and Marinated Eggplant - SUPERB!! Looking forward to a repeat visit.

Casual family restaurant serving Detroit style pizza, salads, pasta and kids meals, as well as craft beer and wine.
This pizzeria is located in a little strip mall. I went for the takeout so canât say much about eating in - other than there were plenty of people at booths enjoying their food and drink. We ordered the Detroit version of a supreme pizza. The cashier said it was a good choice. The pizza was similar to Chicago in that itâs thick pizza loaded with toppings, which are clearly not good for you. I had a couple of pieces and I was ready for a nap. Good stuff - we will be back.

Stopped for dinner and we were first brought complimentary bread and oil for dipping. We started our meal with mozzarella bites! They were fresh homemade mozzarella made in house daily fried perfectly with a saucy red sauce that was so delicious! Highly recommend these for starters. For dinner we had the pizza with pepperoni, grilled onions and fresh mozzarella on a super thin crust.

When I say I have never signed up for or written a review, I mean never. We have lived in Mt P for 6+ years and have ordered from this place all the time with no issue. We ordered some pizzas and a couple Greek salads for our family and some out of town guests. The food showed up and the driver said they were out of Greek dressing, something that was not told to us when we placed the call or we wouldn't have ordered it because we enjoy it that much. When I called to ask the manager for a refund he was so rude and disrespectful to my wife. It's like he thought I wanted to scam them for a $7 salad. I don't want your money Robert I just want what I ordered. I will never order from DeRoma's again for the complete lack of customer service for what is supposed to be a "local" biz. Anyone reading this, Matt's has a much better product and respect for their customers.

I have eaten here before when in town for business. The pizza here is very good. I had a Caesar Salad to start off. My pizza consisted of pepperoniâs, bell pepper & onions. The service is always great too. I like sitting to the right when you walk into the restaurant. They have tables in front of the bar area. Will return again.

We heard about The Obstinate Daughter from a couple sources. It has a rustic, charming, great vibe with floor to ceiling weathered wood and simple decor. The Geechie Frites, Ricotta Gnocchi, Pepperoni Pizza (no mushrooms) and Cinnamon Bun were delicious!!! We had quite a lovely lunch here, and we will definitely come back when we return to Charleston!! Highly recommend!! Arrive early or make a reservation to ensure you dine here!!
