Things to do in Hof

This quaint little food outlet has superb food and good Pils beer, the summer time has the lake packed and the atmosphere is good, the food and beer is served fast and delicious. Would definitely visit again!

Very friendly staff, great service, always excellent food....what else do you require? I usually have Pizza because it is nice and crispy and the toppings can be chosen according to your taste... and everything is really fresh. I've also tried pasta and the sauces are delicious. Very much recommendable. And it is a clean and comfortable ambiente!
We had the seafood pasta which was fresh and homemade. Very good except that it should have had some type of sauce or olive oil. Otherwise good service and cosy interior.

The Pizzeria was full, service was fast but we had to wait a bit for our Pizze. Which were crusty, hot and well topped. Prices were OK, too so nothing to complaint unless you are in a real rush.
What to do and see in Hof, Germany: The Best Places and Tips

Il Colosseo has a great location with a very nice, glass-enclosed building to help you feel that you are outside. They offer some outdoor seating as well, but it looked quite limited.Of all the places we had dinner in Hof, this location had the best service - the staff was attentive, made you feel welcome, and were very professional. The restaurant was busy the night we were there, and other nights when we walked past.We ordered Caprese salad, which was fairly good, and both had pizza for our main dish. The crust was a nice, thin crust and was full of great looking toppings. We were disappointed when we tasted it, though, as there was no flavor, despite the artichokes, and various hams/salamis which were ordered. If you would like great service, a nice ambiance and to have an enjoyable evening, then this spot would work for you - just temper expectations on the tastes of the food.
Hof Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Hof

I have been in this restaurant several times and will shall come back in my next visit to Hof. They had several Italian dishes, but for me the best is there pizza. Itâs simply incredible. The waiters are very helpful and the service is very quick. They have good wines and they have a nice terrace, to also have a drink after supper.

Quite surprising how crowded was the restaurant Tuesday night, this was a good sign and I decided to take a sit. I just took vegan foods, the food was quite good specially the grilled vegetables. The dish of artichoke was bit monotonous since based prevalently on in oil artichoke with garlic. Bad surprise was that I could not pay by credit card, really a shame.
Bavaria, Germany Food Guide: 10 German food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Hof

Very pleasantly surprised to find this excellent restaurant in the otherwise sleepy Hof. The extensive menu has something for all tastes and budgets; from basic Pizza to exquisite fish dishes; and a wine menu which ranges from simple open wines to pricey but excellent rarities. The owner Gerardo is a throughly charming individual, and staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Only slight negative: the starter portions were enormous, which may be de rigeur with the clientele in the sticks of Franconia, but rather too much as part of a "proper" Italian meal The John Dory in Prosecco sauce was outstanding though. If Il Ristorante wre in a bigger town it would be booked out every night. The good people of Hof mostly seem to be in bed by 8pm though, which makes dining here relaxing too.
