This location has been two other pizza/Italian restaurants prior to Cafe Pomodoro's opening. The first one, Bella Vista, closed suddenly. It was replaced by Pike Creek Pizza Co., which didn't last very long. So would Cafe Pomodoro be any different? Well, first of all, the seating is a little cramped, much like Bella Vista before. The food, however, I think is much better! I tried two pasta and seafood dishes: one a calamari and linguine in red sauce and the other a shrimp and clams in white sauce. Both featured good size pieces of seafood and a robust garlicky flavor. The portions were a bit smaller than other Italian restaurants in the area, but the taste was superior. The service was incredibly slow. Coupled with the cramped seating, I give it a very good rating instead of an excellent rating.

I've been to Anthony's four times prior to my last dinner and have always been impressed, This time, not as much. As always the place was packed. Service is always excellent and the two singers were very good. The downside this time was the pizza though good, was salty and overcooked. If you go and they attempt to seat you in the back table for two near the bathrooms, wait for another table unless you enjoy people squeezing by as you try to eat.

Welcome to Valle Cucina, Delaware's best kept secret for thirty years! Our name suggests Italian, and it is the best around, but we are also known for our seven time "Best of Delaware" award winning 100% jumbo lump crab cakes, seafood dishes and the area'
Food was okay; cheese pizza was good. Lobster mac and cheese seemed reheated and the salads were a good size but lacked dressing and variety. Ravioli's were sloppy and bland. The most memorable experience at Valle was the obnoxious owner. It was a Friday night during lent and we had a table of 8. It was crowded and the place is small. However, we had a bill of over a hundred dollars so I think we could have been treated better. It took 20 minutes to get our drink orders; 2 wines and 6 waters. It took 35 minutes to get 1 appetizer and bread and 50 minutes to get our meal. As soon as our meal was served, the owner began hawking our table obviously looking for us to leave. It was rude. The waitress was nice but the rude owner, slow service and so-so food doesn't warrant a return visit.

Traveling to visit Winterthur near Wilmington DE. Stopped for a quick lunch and discovered a fantastic restaurant stuck in the back of a strip mall. Many varieties of pizza are ready if you want a quick slice, but after seeing the meals being prepared we opted for a full meal. Calamari was incredibly tasty. The sausage, onion, and roasted peppers was absolutely amazing. The penne arabbiata was phenomenal. Huge portions. Friendly staff. I will drive the 3 hours again just to eat here. By the way. Beyond a doubt the very best gravy, including my own mother's (forgive me ma!)

I've been here several times and it is consistently good. The staff works really hard to ensure that you have everything you need. Every dish that I have tried has been an enjoyable eating experience. The portions could be a bit bigger

Here at La Verona we are committed to make your meal memorable, with professional service in a welcoming, vibrant social atmosphere. Our attention to detail goes from selecting the finest and freshest ingredients, to the careful preparation of our dishes.
Four of us ate here on a Sunday in July. The server was very attentive and there were several specials. We particularly enjoyed our appetizers- fried artichokes surrounded by mozzarella and prosciutto and also fried brussel sprouts covered with a cheese sauce. Our entrees were generously sized but not really above average.
This is a nice family owned restaurant in Hockessin. The entrees are very good, classic in nature and not trying to be too fancy. The pizza can be a little garlicky but otherwise not bad. They are very friendly and have made accommodations when possible.

Stopped in for Ravioli, the serving was very generous, enough to take home or share. Came with a side salad, ok for the price. In general this restaurant is a value meal. Not much on the atmosphere, but the food was fine and reasonable .

I was having a semi-blue Friday. Walked into craving some much needed carbs. Usually anything will do. Ordered a stromboli. Oh. My. Goodness. I thought I was going to cry on the ride back to my work waiting to eat this thing. It smelled Ah-mazing. As I got back to work I ripped open the box and dove right in like a starving maniac. Now I know what you are thinking (Fatty), but that isn't me. I'm rather small and usually unappreciative of food. Did not disappoint. Just the right amount of seasoning, the right amount of grease, and generous portion size. This was my first time visiting and I will definitely be back! The hottie with the tattoos is pretty easy on the eyes too!

This guy's Italian entrees are superb. He knows what he's doing when it comes to real deal pastas and sauces. I love the pizza...thin crust, perfectly crispy. (ask for the off the menu clams casino pizza...WOW!)
