I found this place using Trip Advisor and it was amazing. The Chef was able to accommodate my menu selections around some food allergies that I have and each course that was served tasted amazing. Each plate had a gorgeous presentation and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling individually, familys/groups or business dinners.

Do anything you can to get to DLoFre's delightful gourmet countryside slice of culinary heaven. It's 20-25 minute drive from downtown Hamamatsu but worth every minute. Bike or walk if you can't drive... It's that good. All local fresh organic ingredients expertly prepared with French countryside flavors, Italian love of life, Scandinavian design and Japanese refinement. With windmills and farmland softly moving out the windows. The lunch was served in three courses for an embarrassingly low price given the six person kitchen staff and multiple servers.
Passeretti means the plural form of "sparrow" in Italian. This café has an attractive space where you can feel free to gather anytime and enjoy talking as long as you want. It is at a convenient location, about ten minutes from Hamamatsu station, and you

The venue boasts beautiful views and enchanting interiors. The service was smooth, seamless and polite. The food was fine. No very unique dishes, but what was served was made well with tasty ingredients. We had a Christmas dinner here which consisted of a 6 items: as appetizers we got small crackers with geese liver pate, cheese and ham, and then some tasty mushrooms in a creamy sauce, accompanied by fig and pumpkin bread for the sauce. Then we moved on to roast beef with salad, followed by a cray fish-crab-lobster soup. Then cake came, and finally very cleverly served macaroon and bite-sized sweets with coffee and tea. The portions were not large but filling. There was live jazz music, mixing Christmas songs and love songs. All in all, a very pleasant and romantic evening. I would definitely recommend the place. It also has a chapel for wedding. It is overlooking a nice lake. With the view, the professionalism of the staff, and the charming interior this must be a great location for a wedding too.

Taka the owner operator has a great sense of humour, and is fluent in English. Just put yourself in his hands and he will keep delivering some quality dishes. His pasta offerings were all al dente and full of flavour. The scampi or prawns came in this delightful creamy tomato sauce that just begged for bread to be dipped and smothered. Wonderful evening joking with Taka, wine not memorable but acceptable.
