Hagen (German pronunciation: [ˈhaːɡn̩] ( listen)) is the 41st-largest city in Germany. The municipality is located in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is located on the south eastern edge of the Ruhr area, 15 km south of Dortmund, where the rivers Lenne and Volme (met by the river Ennepe) meet the river Ruhr. As of 31 December 2010, the population was 188,529. The city is home to the FernUniversität Hagen, which is the only state funded distance education university in Germany. Counting more than 67,000 students (March 2010), it is the largest university in Germany.

Visited with friends and work colleagues. I had been here before but not for quite some time. Menu has a good choice and staff helpful. Atmosphere is pleasant although can be a little loud if there are large groups in this small restaurant. Reasonable prices.

A typical Italian restaurant. This one was bright and airy part of a small group of restaurants that included a Greek restaurant, a sports bar and so on, all dotted around a small area surrounded by trees. There was even a theatre so ideal for pre-theatre dining. The food and service were good. I ordered minestrone soup and a pasta dish, plus a glass of red wine. They allow dogs, which I found a bit off-putting, but there was only one dog and he didn't bother anybody. Actually, there might have been two...

Als Rettungsdienst Besatzung eines Rtw in der Stadt hat man im 24 Stunden Dienst bereits sämtliche Pizzerias angefahren, jedoch wenn man im Kollegenkreise immer wieder in der selben landet hat dies einen Grund! Hier gibt es Ruck zuck die beste Pizza der Stadt! Dankeschön. Immer schnell, freundlich und gute Pizzen, bleibt so ,wir kommen wieder und sagen es weiter...

The service is excellent and high end, friendly warm waitresses and the owner the sommelier Domenico is always at premises to ensure you have the best introduction to the finest vines Italy has to offer from north to south of Italy. s.th for everyones taste, he takes time to analyze you and your taste to pair vine with the delicious food prepared by 1 star Chef cook Beppe. Downstairs there is a beautiful vine cellar that makes you dream ask and they will be happy to show you around, they have vine tastings every month and also beautiful cultural events from time to time....every visit is a memorable one in this place! The restaurant is fairly big you can also buy wine or a hamper for special occasions with sauces oil balsamic vinegar all imported from Italy, the décor is beautiful kind of arty and the whole place is just magical!!!

Upon arriving at the restaurant we were Met with a lovely smell from the kitchen and by happy staff speaking both English, Italian and German. We ordered the food and even though we anticipated good food, the quality surprised us! Well prepared, good looking and delightful! We have had many visits to Italian restaurants but surely this is one of the Best we have tried! And very fair prices compared to what we Got! And Cosimo who was our waiter did well. We would love to Come back if we go to Hagen again.

If you're in Hagen, you've gotta go. I'm in town three weeks every two years and I make a point to go at least three times during my stay. Yummy!

This place was recommended by the hotel receptionist and was not part of a small group of restaurants near the hotel (Mercure Hotel Hagen). It was fine from the outside (another typical Italian restaurant) but I was a bit miffed by the service: I had to wait for a menu (they offered me a beer) then I had to wait to order the food and then I had to wait for the food. I ordered proscuito to start and was virtually given the restaurant's entire stock of the stuff (miles too big a portion) and then I ordered a side salad and a pasta dish with langoustine. The side salad was miles too big for one â three sliced tomatoes and mozzarella the size of a tennis ball. The pasta dish was fine. What annoyed me was the portion sizes. I was dining alone but I could have fed three people. What a waste. The whole thing was 43 Euros â and they didn't deserve a tip.

We visited this restaurant based on tripadvisor reviews, after visiting a museum in Hagen. The owner welcomed us as if we were part of the family! The restaurant is unexpectedly cosy and colourful, which is in contrast with the grey-ish residential area. Not more that ~35 seating places. We had a shared starter (antipasto misto), which looked very good on the website. This was good, although a bit small for 2 (and for the price), additionally odd ingredients such as surimi have no place in an italian starter... As main courses, we both chose from the daily specials: I had a pasta with italian salsiccia (with fennel seed), and my husband had the recommended lamb with rosemary sauce: this was to die for: tender and delicious, and came with one of his favourite vegetables: chard (=coste). My pasta had a very nice tomato sauce and the italian sausage was fresh and authentic, but didn't blow me away. We then shared a tiramisú, which was really excellent. The house wine was also nice. All in all a very nice evening, we would love to try the pizza if we are in the area another time.

Hier vermutet man auf dem ersten Blick nicht solche Qualität. Wir wurden freundlich begrüÃt und haben einen guten Tisch zugewiesen bekommen. Die Speisekarte hat eingeübte Auswahl. Auch die Weinkarte gibt einiges an Herrlichkeiten her. Sehr gute Zubereitung, echt schmackhaft.
