Find out what Italian restaurants to try in Gaeta. Set between Rome and Naples amid the so-called Ulysses Riviera, gorgeous Gaeta overlooks the beautiful Tyrrhenian Sea. Its history as a resort dates back to Imperial Rome. Nearby sites include the first-century BC mausoleum of general Lucius Munatius Plancus. A unique place in the heart of the medieval town of Gaeta, dating back to the end of '800 and previously home to a historic macelle ria of which are still visible the original period tiles on the walls, flooring and paving vaulted ceilings. The redesign o

Top spot in the old town of gaeta. Excellent fresh fish restaurant cooked on charcoal grills very basic and traditional but all the better for that. Lovely service. Wine only â¬9 and perfect. Was recommended by italian in Naples and so glad we followed the advice. Presume it is low on trip advisor scores as undiscovered. Hopefully will return next year and find it unchanged and just as welcoming.

We went there twice during our vacation. On of the best tasting hamburger I have tasted in a long time. The fries and onion rings was also good. The owner was one of the friendliest person I have had the pleasure to meet. The service was quick. You order off a IPad. Another feature worth noting is had one of the cleanest washroom in the Gaeta area.Thank you very much for visiting us and meeting you all

TEMPORARY CLOSURE from the 13th of January until the 25th of February
We so enjoyed meeting Carla one of the owners. Last Salute is really lovely, food delicious and service excellent- wonderful evening and a great introduction for our granddaughters to a fine Italian restaurant.

We stopped here a couple of times for a drink and were impressed by the friendliness of the staff. The interior is attractive and inviting, and the outside seating is under a shaded veranda. Although we never tried any ourselves, there was always a tempting array of cakes and pastries in the counter. My partner said that the coffee here was excellent!

My wife and I ate here on Valentineâs day after reading the reviews. Location is a bit uninspiring, itâs in a kind of strip mall and surrounded by businesses, but once you get inside, the restaurant itself is very cute and welcoming. The servers were all great and so kind. Place was hopping after 8:30pm and for good reason. They had placed a mini cactus in a small pot on every table especially for Valentineâs Day which you could take with you, really lovely touch. The wine list was very reasonable, a nice bottle of red from 12-18 Euros. On to the food, which was superb. We shared an appetizer plate which was called Paesano, full of local produce: sausage, ricotta, olives, veggies and little toasts with various spreads. Amazing on all counts, I particularly liked the sausage and the veggies. We both ordered steak and the menu is very large, divided into countries: they have steaks from New Zealand, Ireland, Italy, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay and more, too many to remember. We both ordered Black Angus from New Zealand and they came with rosemary potatoes and salad. The steaks themselves were phenomenal, among the best weâve had: flavorful, cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth. We were really impressed. All in all, we ordered 2 G&Ts, a bottle of red, a large sharing starter and 2 exquisite steaks for 90 euros, great value in my book. Definitely recommended.

Pizzas are really tasty and the owner is super nice and friendly. I got a free slice of pizza when I was waiting in line to make my order. Mushroom & salami pizza was my favorite! The best way to eat here is takeout and then eat next to the sea watching the beautiful views. Thanks for the great lunch and dinner!
