Reviews on Italian food in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Zealand. Frederiksberg is sort of a city within a city—though completely surrounded by Copenhagen, it’s technically its own municipality. It’s teeming with gourmet specialty shops, upscale shopping and charming cafés. But it’s also steeped in history and culture. An enormous park features romantic gardens, a Chinese pavilion, Greek-style temple and labyrinth. Take tour of the masterful baroque Frederiksberg Palace and enjoy the delicate exhibits of the Museum of Modern Glass Art.

This stylish restaurant reminds one of nouvelle cuisine with its small portions and high prices. The owner-operator, an elegant Danish woman who speaks fluent Italian is omnipresent taking all orders and allowing her young staff only to bring and remove plates. She is no doubt very capable, knowledgeable about wines which are expensive. By the glass choices are lacking though one may have two glasses of the house Brunello for 250 Danish krones or about $35 American dollars. There are only two entre choices each night: a meat or fish. Both were small in size and not particularly special. Similarly dessert was fine but nothing to remember. An expensive dinner and not really worth it!

Cafe & Brasserie with an italian twist in the center of Frederiksberg - just in front of the "Falconer salen". We serve brunch, lunch and dinner. We quarantee quality food, good service and cosy atmosphere. We are JUNIOR - same history - new concept - sin
Went here with my family and we had a lovely time here. The veal tartar was fantastic! Started off with a glass of white wine that didn't impress, but I made the choice and cannot fault the restaurant for this. The red wine, a "Barbera..." was definitely better. The white wine was served in a smaller glass, which is not out of the ordinary in many places, but the peculiar thing was that it was a serving maybe 30-50% less than the red wine serving? Also ate the beef tenderloin, and it had a tough job following that veal tartar, but it was a tender piece of meat prepared by skillful chefs that was really good as wall. Didn't have any dessert because I was filled up, to say the least. So all in all, highly recommended! And go for red...

Was looking for another recommended restaurant in this neighborhood when I passed this. It was so inviting and reminded me so of a small ristorante in Italy that I went here instead. What a treat. Appeared to be a husband and wife team doing 100% of the service but they were amazing. The food was so good. Fresh and perfectly prepared. I gave our tour director their card so she can recommend it to others. If and when I return to Copenhagen this will be first stop. Just outstanding.

Went here because it was just 300 meters from our hotel and had good TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. We were greeted and seated promptly, the service was excellent. Complimentary bread with olive oil was brought to our table. We werenât super hungry so only had the one course which was the pasta of the day - delicious!!!!And a bottle of great Chianti. Nice clean restaurant, good authentic Italian cuisine and excellent service. What more could you want.

We booked ahead as we were a group of people. The service was a little slow and we seem to be served last even although we were first in the restaurant. At this point there was about 3-4 tables with 2-4 people at each table. The starter, prawns and calamari was lovely as was the house rose. We had to ask for one of our group's main to be brought to the table as she had an earlier flight, we had waited about 30 mins at this point. The main courses eventually arrive, mine was linguine with lobster, unfortunately it was tasteless. the senior man did apologise and offer an alternative dish and did take the main dish and side salad off the the bill. He did also provide a bottle of Prosecco as a good will gesture which was lovely. The issue seemed to be that a very large group had been booked about 1 hour after we arrived and I think the restaurant was overwhelmed with the numbers - a shame as it gets normally very good reviewsDear Surrey13,We are all sincerely humbled by your constructive review with regards to your previous visit with us. It certainly serves as a motivation for our team members and to improve and to strive in providing the utmost level of services to our guests. Again, thank you and we hope to have the opportunity to welcoming you again soon at Trattoria SUD. Yours sincerely,Andrea Cassini

Genuine atmosphere with a truly Roman touch. A family business with excellent food and wine. We ordered the dinner menu, with appetizers, main and dessert - and asked for wine suggestions. The pizzas are very good and more of a Roman style, which means a crispy and thin crust. The wine selection is also very good, same with the creme-brûléeâs dessert. Highly suggest a visit!

You walk down Vesterbrogade towards Frederiksberg garden & the Zoo. You pass a couple of windows which are filled with lids/sides from wine boxes. You look up, a simple sign tells you that this is the wine bar / Ristorante Enomania. You then look through the window into a near naked room with a counter, couple of tables and chairs and think; is this what I was recommended? It does not look like a world class Italian restaurant, but do not get fooled by the looks of it.We went in and was warmly greated by the international staff and through a maze guided to our table in the back of restaurant in a cozy room, dominated by a giant wine rack. And let me just say, the food is good, very good. You have one menu to choose from, and I recommend to go for the full 4 course Italian style menu, which is reasonably priced. Then there is the wine. You probably cannot find a better selection of quality Italian wine anywhere in Copenhagen and not just the wine, the waiters knowledge of wine is outstanding.Be aware; you are more than lucky if you just walk in and get a table, you need to book well in advance and that is fully understandable
