We're glad to have found a new place for take out pizza. This is Italian/New York style pizza, as good as it gets in Massachusetts. There are a few tables for those who are not just stopping by to pickup after phoning in their order. My New York-raised wife knows the good stuff and we concur that this is the best we've had in many years.

I have eaten here in the past for their subs, salads and specials. The food was good and great service. I decided to try their pizza so ordered a cheese pizza. The slices were a mound of cheese and oil. The dough was soft and overall, tasteless. I am Italian and I will admit I'm a little critical when eating Italian. However, anyone who enjoys good pizza would agree witb me. Order anything else, just stay clear of their pizza.
This diner is family owned and run. They are very friendly, and have great diner food. They have daily specials. I've never had a bad meal there. The one drawback, and it isn't a huge drawback, they are closed on Sunday's and are only open for breakfast and lunch.
Havent eaten here in a while. The place stinks to high heaven. Why didn't they replace the carpeting when they remodeled? Also, if you do decide to go in there - take a look at the plates hanging on the walls. They are filthy. Not sure they have been cleaned in at least 10 years. Really turns you off to the food. I had the ham/peas in a cream sauce with tortellini. Not enough sauce and not done enough for my taste. The ham had seen better days. Husband had chicken piccatta. OK, but not outstanding. The best part about the meal was the bread.Couldn't get out fast enough.

On recommendation from a friend, came here for dinner. It did not disappoint. Excellent mussels appetizer. My friends got the pizza and they said it was great, especially the crust. My husband got a pasta dish, also great. My Italiano sandwich was very good, but I didn't ask for it to be grilled. Excellent service and ambiance. We will be back.

Average Italian grinder. Tasted good, but a bit skimpy on the meats. Have had pizza and toasted grinders on past visits and they were excellent.

We have occasionally visited Il Forno's for over two decade. Mostly, simple Italian plates are what we order and we are always satisfied. Service is always attentive but they seem to have developed a small pet peeve of mine. When paying with cash, Il Forno's doesn't want to deal with change. I get it. However, state and city meal tax will always create an uneven dollar amount. If an establishment choses to avoid change, round the dollar amount down not up. It is basic courtesy to your customers. Rounding the dollar amount up either is just another arrogant money grab or an appearance of a server padding their gratuity. Not good in either case. I know it is a minor issue but it is the principal of the matter. So much so in my case that my dining choices will be directed to a competitor.

My wife and i went there for dinner. Food was very good but. Drinks were pretty expensive. $15 for my wifeâs Grey Goose cosmo! That is a very high premium price. So overall good but watch the drink prices.
