i visited the augustea twice this summer,the first meal was a very good four seasons pizza with half a bottle of rioja and a cefe cortado the food was exellent the service also very good.Later that day i called in for a pasta meal again with wine and coffee,being a monday it was not very busy about twenty diners,in a place that can probably cater for eighty or more.The augustea was very well lit and bright the service was very good,and for arround 16 euros offered exellent value for money.

Italian and local food restaurant in Figueres.Excellent pizzas made in front of the customer, salads, carpaccios, risotto, delicious chocolate creppes,and tiramisu. Family atmosphere, ideal for families with children.Very good price-quality ratio.

Having read on Trip advisor that the restaurant was 2nd in Figueres we thought we would be in for a pretty nice meal.It wasn´t really the canteen like atmosphere that was the problem nor the service.My girlfriend ordered the italian salad which when it came was three slices of tomato, three thin slices of mozzarella and three thin slices of unripe avocado.I had the caesar salad which although was a little bigger, was still poor value for money even at 6 euros!As a suggestion to the restaurant, I would up the prices of the salads a little to allow for a decent portion.

We were staying at the excellent Hotel Sidorme which is the neighbouring building to this restaurant. We looked at the menu posted outside but thought it looked pretty expensive so we went downtown (around the station area) asked for recommendations and all looked terrible. We returned to El Raco and we're pleasantly surprised to find that there were cheaper selections on the menu that we had not noticed. My wife ordered the hamburger called Le Super and I the pasta dish La Peperoncino Petita with a side dish of Granna Petita. We also ordered a bottle of wine since discovering in Spain, a bottle is cheaper than four glasses! The hamburger arrived and it looked stupendous with a wooden spike through the centre and round slices of potatoes (chips) thread on the spike in a pile on top of the hamburger bun. There was sliced cheese and tomato inside on top of the most delicious meat burger. My pasta dish was a dream and I could've eaten it thrice over! The Cav.Niestruc Negre wine was outstanding and only cost â¬9. In all our bill came to â¬35,20 well worth every cent and with excellent service.

It was nice to sit outside and the food was fine but overpriced. The servers seemed to be uninterested in customers or the quality of the customer experience. We were hungry and had just left the Dali Museum. I wish we had taken the time to find a different restaurant. Most of our meals during our three week Spain vacation were memorable. This one was nothing special and our primary memory of our meal was the unwelcoming staff.
