Wanted to try somewhere new. Read reviews and decided to give it a try. First impression upon entering establishment- looked like a rented room packed with tables. No ambience, decor, not even a candle on the table. Place was packed. So I figured the food had to be fabulous to make up for lack of ambience, my friends enjoyed their meals; one had pasta with vegetables and another had the stuffed flounder . I ordered the veal chop. Didn't like the sauce, chop was fatty and I left hungry.Have had much better veal chops. Maybe I should have ordered something else. Sorry to say I probably won't go back.

I know it sounds weird, but we come for the salad. Crunchy chickpeas, kalamata olives, hard boiled eggs and ripe tomatoes top an incredibly dressed crispy salad.Love their roast beef sandwich (add broccoli rabe), roasted wings with caramelized onions (finger-lickin' great!) and cauliflower pizza! It's packed most evenings with a mixed business/family crowd. Might want to call ahead.Saw the "poor" review. Don't understand how we could be talking about the same place. Food is consistently amazing!Order the salad - family size!

Even with the new compact menu, Rocca is my choice for best Italian food in Glen Rock. We went recently with another couple and as always, the service was good and the food was better. All four of us enjoyed everything we ordered and each of us had plenty to eat plus plenty to bring home for another meal. The prices are moderate. There is plenty of free parking in the rear plus street parking in front on Rock Rd.

We came for dinner. It was our first time here. We were seated quickly and started with the homemade rice ball. It was very good and filled with cheese, beef and vegetables. We shared a pepperoni and garlic pizza as well. Also very good. It is an old school tavern so don't expect anything remotely fancy, however it was worth the trip.

First time visit with a few friends.Everything was excellent - valet parking, excellent building, warm greeting, great bar, nice private room, very attentive waiter and the food was superb. We all had salad starters, and they are very large and definitely shareable. We had one of our he specials with peaches. We then all had different pasta dishes from the regular menu. Everybody loved their dishes. I had the black squid ink linguine with shrimp, crab meat etc. It was the best Iâve ever had. Itâs worth coming back for this alone. We also were comped limoncellos.Great night!!

Ness is known for their thin crispy crust pizza. It is consistently good. They also have salads and other Italian favorites. There's both the dining room and a very busy to go business, and they also deliver locally. Prices are more than fair

Davia is a customer friendly neighborhood Italian restaurant. Nicely decorated with a full bar & parking lot in the rear. Very good food with either soup or salad and terrific âearly birdâ offerings. Extensive daily specials and attentive service add to the attraction here.

We went here the other night to celebrate my birthday as well as my sister's. While everything we had was very good- particularly the Thai calamari appetizer- nothing was exceptional. Maybe my expectations were too high. The appetizer, soup, entree and dessert were all delicious, the service attentive without being smothering, and their prices fair, nothing blew me away. Don't get me wrong- if you eat here you won't be disappointed. You just won't be blown away

Our first time having dinner at Justinâs.You will need a reservation on weekends. The service is friendly and helpful. The menu is Italian.Pasta, chicken and fish dishes. The bowls of soup are huge. The appetizers are good especially the fresh bluepoint oysters. They serve a salad with all entrées.Along with the menu they introduced some specials. I ordered the tuna over a bed of diced tomatoes which was probably the thinnest cut of tuna that I have ever seen. It was more like a plate of diced tomatoes with a piece of tuna in the middle that wasnât even spiced and had no flavor to it.Had the waiter come over and asked how was everything I might have sent it back. But because the place was so busy that didnât happen. We were there having a good time and everybody else seem to be content. This place id a BYO and everybody that came in had a bottle with them. There was no waiting room and people were just standing by the front door waiting for a table. This place has a prefix meal during the week as an early bird special. Some of the dishes that I saw other people having looked much better than the one I was having. My dish had no eye appeal and almost looked like the last piece of fish that was left. Parking for this restaurant is located a block away using the churches parking lot. There is a sign explaining it. Parking on the side streets are frowned upon.

Ciao from Amore Ristorante! We are a family owned and operated restaurant serving southern Italian cuisine since 1985. Located in Woodland Park, we are BYOB and open seven days a week. We offer daily specials, homemade pasta, & dessert in a warm atmospher
Charming simple decor with relaxed atmosphere in small storefront location on Garret Mountain in Woodland Park, NJ. First time visit at recommendation of friends. Standard Italian menu with specials that had a Caribbean flare. The potatoes and hot peppers appetizer was very good but potatoes were like chips instead of sauteed. A different take but fine. The calamari special had a tasty ginger and sweet pepper topping. Very good. Hubby had the halibut special which was delicious but another Caribbean flavor of mango infused veggies over rice. Huge portion we should have shared. It was $32 and would have preferred a smaller portion for less cost but it will make a nice second meal. I had the capallini with shrimp and tomatoes with cannellini. It was fine. Would go back. Service excellent. Really a 4.5 rating. A little expensive for a byob place. Was $100 for 2 with no drinks.
