While on holidays in Salerno I visited this restaurant which is conveniently situated in a shopping mall. I would have never thought that a chain restaurant could make food this authentic. The pizza, as well as the pasta testes great! Furthermore the service is very friendly.Gianluca, the manager, took special pleasure in advising us about the best choices so we could taste the Italian culture. A must in pontecagnano! Plus, they sell a survival kit with pasta, oil and tomato sauce which is a great gift to take back.

Demetra Pub is a small pub situated in Pontecagnano near Salerno. It is a cosy place where you can eat a delicious pizza and drink a good beer, playing with family games. There is a wide range of items on the menu and you can eat many types of pizza, the "Panetto", that is a kind of sandwich made with the same pizza dough and filled with cold cuts and cheese, and the "Fornarina" that is a kind of flat bread. There you can find good and rare beers from all over the world. The owner is a great expert of beers and he always help you in the best choise! The waiters are friendly and competent, the service is very fast and it is not too expensive. The atmosphere of the English Pub, with soft lightning and wooden tables, make this pub a good place for having a dinner with friends!I like it vary much because I love Fornarina with fresh Mozzarella cheese and tomatoes and I highly reccomend it!!!

We were in picentino in june 2014. Good Restaurants are very very hard to find in this area. Price / quality excellent, great service, very good food in cosy restaurant. We paid total 40-50⬠for secondi platti, for two person incl drinks. The restaurant is somewhat hard to find; it is next to a fuel pumpstation. In the garden ( i guess) > 40 chairs , inside upstairs many chairs as wel, as in the ground floor 20-30. Very kind , english spoken bij the boss!

We decided to visit this restaurant based on local users reviews. But we haven't checked the location. So, when we arrived to the spot we have found very unpleasand location, actually in "middle of nowhere", dirty and and ugly neighborhood. So, I have turned the car around and drive away without even trying. Maybe the place is good inside, but better they make some order outside.

The structure is divided into two floors and is in shabby / industrial style. Upstairs there is the kitchen which is fully exposed, a single round table that can accommodate up to ten guests. all raw materials used, high-quality arranged on an antique sid
We stopped for lunch in this wonderful local trattoria. Great service Grazia spoke English and was so helpful on ordering a wonderful salad and two pastas along with red wine. Small off the beaten path restaurant on edge of town with a downstairs area which is cozy and comfortable.

Very friendly family giving you all the advice you need for this area of Italy. Every day a good breakfast made from fresh items from the local area. The Hostess speaks excellent english. From this place easy to access Vesuvius, Amalfi, Pompei, etc. or just rest and enjoy the mountains. A small fridge in the room and wifi and option to eat there is very relaxed. With the boys I made a small trip to the castle on the mountain. Watch out for dangerous holes in the castle. It is not an official tourist but excellent view.
