This hotel restaurant is available to all walk-in guests as well, and offers some nicely refined food, looking to even satisfy international travellers. Although the setting and decor are aged, that can be easily overlooked when the food arrives.

Wir haben uns wieder einmal verwöhnen lassen. Es war ein gelungener Abend. In Rahden ist das mit Abstand die beste Adresse. Das Fleisch auf den Punkt gegarrt. Die Nudeln die nötige Festigkeit mit geschmacklich hervorragender Souce. Der Fisch der absolute Hammer. Seeteufel. Noch nie besser gegessen.

If full tables are an obvious indication of popularity there is no denying that this restaurant is very popular with the local denizens. We have tried several times in the past to eat at this restaurant but there has never been room! However we have now managed to squeeze ourselves in for a couple meals and understand why 'Silvio's' is such a popular local choice. Their pizza is crusty and excellent, their pasta rich and perfectly cooked and their tiramisu is, well simply delicious! The cost for this Italian flair is very reasonable, and makes for a tasty evening out. The only fly in the ointment - or perhaps that should be 'soup' - is that we have found the service to be mixed. Main meals served whilst leaving the the first course still on the table and a general lack of friendliness by some of the staff. Pity, because with better training and more smiles this place would get a definite five stars! Recommended.
